take at least 1 minute at the end of the video to showcase the finished product, then put in a token and walk them through in 1st person mode, I think it is tremendously impressive and showcases a great deal more detail (careful: it also shows every flaw)
Oooh, is this the cave you will end up in when entering the archway from the last map? 😄 I love it! Especially the bioluminescent room - it looks so great, well done! 🥰
Good eyes! It can be used as that, We wanted to give some options for people to use after the Quarry map. I do love those light, glad you like them too! :)
Hello, thanks for the comment Bounded Accuracy, If you look in the video you will see the light is stopped by the walls. but I’m not sure what you mean by movement?
@@CMDRAconite First, thank you for your videos. By movement i mean token movement in Foundry (or other vtt). I assume if it blocks light it blocks token movement, but it can get weird. Thank you again, love the videos!
@@TeapotSpouts Thanks for the clarification of the question, This tool just makes the map, We often take this and then put a top-down view of the map into something like Roll20 etc where we can create player tokens to place on top of
So, this map took less than an hour, however that's because Aconite is picky and likes details. He said it could have been finished in about 20mins. :)
Hello, You can expand any map from the base size by clicking in the bottom right hand corner and dragging it to the new size or, by simply adding a room that extends beyond the current border. which will automatically expand the map to include that room. I hope that helps. :)
I'd say drop saying 'aconite does' and 'aconite puts' etc entirely. It's distracting. It doesn't matter who's doing the clicking and the video would be much better if you just delete these lines entirely.

The videos have changed a lot over the years. I try to spend more time showing the map. :-)
We need a 'Love This' button.
Thanks for this comment! Means a huge amount to us!

You know players would be tempted :D
Fireball is always the answer!

We love using Dungeon Alchemist to make maps for our D&D games.

Looks great! I tried making my own caves but it turned out a lot less polished. I will have to try the lights idea.
Hey sorry to hear that. I like my method of making caves :-)
Do the cavern walls prevent movement and light?

@@CMDRAconite sodly not :x it works perfect for normal maps, but for some reason it doesnt if youre having a cave . but thy for the try ! :)
Please spend more time showing the finished map, at least a minute or two, preferably showing it from different angles and with different lighting.
Hi Engil,
Thanks for the comment, I will keep that in mind for next time.

Hi John, thanks so much for the honest feedback. It’s really good to know what people like and don’t so we can improve our videos.
