    I have a pair of these and it's sometimes hard to explain to somebody why they are so special but you articulate the experience these IEM's provide very well. The way the treble extends and you hear things reverb and fade in the mix has almost a liquid quality to it that I find hard to express.

      Haha thank you and exactly. I sold the ones for the review and missed them every freaking day. Luckily I got a really good deal at CanJam New York and got my second and final pair. Something very special about the way they tuned these. So good.

      @@EnigmaFotosReviews thank you for your reviews.... Honest opinion (money aside) vs the Ravens. I enjoyed both of your reviews but am hesitant to splurge on the upgrade as I just got in my Mark3s, but I am not a collector and won't be buying multiple IEMs, would rather buy once and cry once; any suggestions (and amp pairing would be most helpful) - thank you!

    I tried this pair when I was at SoCal CanJam 2024, and it absolutely seduced me. I ended up trying out a plethora of IEMs around the tables too, but this one simply hit that impeccable flavor for all the things I like to listen to, and it was only a matter of time before my credit card had a hole in it.

      Thank you sooo much. I finally was able to hear the Elysian Annihilator at CanJam New York. If it was available I would have gotten it to complement my Empire Ear Raven.
      It has a way of showcasing treble in such a beautiful way. Extended, airy, sparkly but never being harsh or any hint of semblance. Such a lovely tuning overall. So it to would compliment the monarch as well since to me it is a baby raven.

      would u say its a massive step up from mmk3?
      in terms of bass & famale and male vocals.
      considering them as an upgrade, would you agree or rather suggest another path? ("the weekend" is a great example of my music genre).
      thanks! :)

      @@heeku_ Not better but different. Monarch to me is more bass leaning where the annihilator is more treble leaning. So it honestly depends on which sound you like better. I’m thinking what you listen to would sound awesome if that’s the signature you’re looking for. Sub bass on annihilator isn’t bad at all. It can pound.

    Do you enjoy mk3 more or the mest mk2? I’m on the fence between the two but can’t decide.

    • @EnigmaFotosReviews
      @EnigmaFotosReviews  4 месяца назад +1

      Honestly I find them both great. Mk3 is just a great fun iem out of the box. Mest mk2 takes a little work to fine tune it but when you do, it stages better. More out of your head. I really like it with a tube amplifier. Smooths out the treble a bit and makes it really nice.

    Well that's interesting, you certainly hear a lot of different opinions on these. I'm not saying completely different than what you're saying, most of the reviews are at least quite positive, but particularly in the mids and highs, a number of reviews I've heard saying the their not quite as delicate or spacious as the Prestige LTD's. Have you tried those? Looking to purchase my first IEM's and trying to decide between those two. Fair bit of price difference so I would love it if the Monarch's were great all around. Just hate to regret missing out on truly spectacular higher frequencies and soundstage. But, I've also heard the Prestige aren't as good in the bass, which I also love. Maybe the Monarch's are just better at playing a wider variety of genre's, like you say? Hard to find anyone who carries these to try out.

    • @EnigmaFotosReviews

      This is an excellent question. Soundstage wise the ltd is like a concert hall and the monarch is like a jazz club. Ltd is a neutral tuning and the monarch is slightly v shaped. Honestly it reminds me of how the Odin/Raven compliment each other. And I adore both of the way they’re tuned. All rounder is thrown around I think too much because what might be an all rounder for you might not match me. The monarch does have great treble and sparkle. The ltd will be slightly more revealing.
      Just comes down to the sound signature you like more. Hope this helps!

      Decided to go with the LTD’s running them withe the IFI Hip DAC 3, just couldn’t resist after watching a few reviews talking about how amazing the tuning is. Let you know my impressions after I’ve used them for a while and had a chance to burn them in.

    Great review!
    1) How would these compare to the UM Mest mk2 in terms of imaging, soundstage, detail/resolution, etc.?
    2) If you haven't heard them (or forgot how they sound) then what about the same kinda comparison between the Pilgrim and the Mega 5 est?
    3) Would you eventually do a ranking list?

    • @EnigmaFotosReviews
      @EnigmaFotosReviews  7 месяцев назад

      1. I think I did a comparison in my mesk video. Detail resolution monarch. Soundstage and imaging mesk. Overall monarch but not by much. Just personal choice. Both awesome and would compliment each other.
      2. I have both pilgrim and noir but have yet to order the mega 5. I saw a graph which showed them definitely noir like so just off that I would like them because the noir are awesome for me.
      3. For sure. I have been formulating it in my head for months. My idea is that really tuning beats price. So the hype 4 is tuned so well it competes against and beats kilobuck iems that are tuned badly or maybe just not to my liking.

    • @EnigmaFotosReviews
      @EnigmaFotosReviews  10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes very much so. The Raven has more separation and clarity. Bass hits harder. Tuning is so close. Why I love them both and think they compliment each other very well. Can’t lose with either one.
