My first time ever at wintertodt and I went in blind with nothing but comments from oldschool runescape players on my last video this is how that went

I salute you for running in blind. I've been playing RuneScape since 2006, and I have looked up guides for pretty much everything before I do it since 2013 lol.
Only get 1 time to do it blind gotta make the most of it
I can teach you wintertodt soloing. took 99fm on my ironman. Ofc being low hp helps but its manageable with your stats. Free construction exp with wc fletch and fm exp with it

Soloing the Wintertodt grants notably more supply crate rolls per hour, and should be considered if one wishes to obtain the Phoenix pet. If done efficiently, one can easily expect 28 rolls every 50 minutes from soloing the Wintertodt (in comparison, subduing Wintertodt on main worlds with 750 points each round will award an average 23.4 rolls in the same amount of time). As opposed to the group method, soloing provides significantly lower Firemaking experience rates, but also significantly faster Construction experience rates. It also requires less attention since action-interrupting damage will occur less frequently.

Err there are a few more skilling boss/activity:
Zalcano(you need song of the elves quest for this). zalcano is a mining boss but you dont do it for mining xp you do it for pet, crystal tool seed and mining supplies.
GOTR(guardians of the Rift), you did the quest to unlock GOTR last episode. GOTR is a good mini game for training rune crafting.
Think those are the other skilling "bosses" cause they provide ya with pets and transmog for RC pet in GOTR. There many more skilling activity, like volcano mine Hallowed sepulchre(need sins of the father quest for this), giants foundry(you did the quest to unlock it last episode also), but i highly suggest finishing song of the elves to unlock priff cause there are alot more things you can do at priff like zalcano and gauntlet(basically dungeoneering in osrs)
Highly suggest doing GOTR, it is a fun mini game and it trains RC(you just need 55 RC for quest cape so why not)
TLDR: Skilling boss: Zalcano, Guardian of the rift, SOTE quest(song of the elves) will unlock more things and GOTR is a fun way to train Rune Crafting.

To answer your question, yes, every 500 points does give you an extra "crate". More specifically, an additional loot roll from your crate.
Each crate is guaranteed 2 loot rolls at 500. Every 500 after that adds another loot roll. However, if you don't hit another 500, you still have a chance of the additional loot roll based on how many points you received (Basically, what % out of 500 you are).
So 750 would be 2 loot rolls with a 50% chance of a third (You are 50% of the way to another 500). 1100 would be 3 loot rolls with a 20% chance of a 4th and so on.

@@lasersharks The outfit is the Pyromancer outfit. Rewards from Loot crates. Doubles as some fashionscape + warm clothing. Also the "pointy green stick" is essentially a hand held tinderbox. I've honestly no idea why they look like Jack-o'-lanterns but that gave me a great laugh. Never saw them that way before 😂
Also with your crate question about more points giving more crates. 500 points gives you a crate. Every 250 after that gives you an extra roll on the loot table and you'll get a % chance at an extra reward from the crate 👍 Pet for WT is the Phoenix.

Points earned between the 500-point milestones will provide players a chance to receive an additional reward equivalent to the progress towards the next milestone. For every 5 points past 500 points player gets 1% extra chance to get additional loot. For example:
500 points = 2 rolls
505 points = 2 rolls + 1% chance of an extra roll
750 points = 2 rolls + 50% chance of an extra roll
1000 points = 3 rolls
1005 points = 3 rolls + 1% chance of an extra roll
1500 points = 4 rolls
Yes and the meta for boxes is to solo or duo with like 12 brews and you can point farm to 13500 points. Every 500 points is a box. In the regular world your gonna get 500 to 1000 points.
The reason why people start at the brazier is because lighting it gives you an easy 25 points right off the bat. Idk if anyone told you this but I might as well mention it. I got over 5k wintertodt kc and got most of my 200m fm xp here

@@lasersharks lighting the brazier also gives more firemaking xp than feeding the brazier with logs or kindlings, and by enough of a margin that running to the root is worth it
Loved it Jim.... Before I did Wintertodt for the first time Jumbo suggested to me to get the Clue Hunter outfit as it counts for warm clothes.... I never have picked those herb tings in there tho.. so that was new to me.. but im assuming u use them on the potion thing to help the wizard guy in there next to the brazier heal up. All these "new" things we are working out in Old School love it

Genuinely love this series because I played a fair bit of modern mmos like world of Warcraft and Star Wars the old republic but old school is still my fall back to always!
My HP lvl is over 90, but I still just use wines because they're so damn cheap
they start at the brazier because they are lighting it for points, also repairing the brazier when it breaks with a hammer in your inventory is ok for low level construction xp and even more points.
i went from 12 to 50+ construction just from repairing brazier when i went for my tome
750 points gives 2 drops + 50% chance on a 3rd
construction xp is based on your level so the higher you start with the better

Haha that is basically how my first Wintertodt went but least you did not die, i did lol. Pet for wintertodt is a phoenix. The phoenix can change color depending on what fire lighter you feed it.
