Nothing wrong with the first video. First of all I'm pretty sure the person is not Arab and instead is a Indonesian or Malaysian living in a Gulf Arab country as the accent as well as some phrases were said that don't sound Arabic, Secondly, The lady came to work yet isn’t doing her job and has the audacity to ask for money. Think of it like you are in a 9-5 job and you aren’t doing your job and your boss yells at you. He has the right to do so and yet if you ask for money meanwhile if you are doing nothing but sleeping on the job, you don’t deserve to get paid. Simple as that. Keep in mind many of these migrant workers from Asia, South Asia and East Africa come to work VOLUNTARILY and know how some bosses are a bit tough yet they go by their own choice and accept these conditions. Also its a misconception that most migrants are being mistreated which is false as I know many myself and they told me they are happy in the middle east.

I know many middle easterners in the Gulf countries where these types of workers live in under a boss but they must fulfill their work duties and usually people like her VOLUNTARILY came and accepted the conditions of waking up a certain time and doing her job. It seems her boss was yelling at her not because she is from a certain ethnic group but rather because she isn't doing her job WHICH HE PAYS HER FOR. Any boss could react the same way. People need to stop acting like everything done is racism and need to see the bigger picture.

I visited dubai in the late 90s/early 2000, my father in law had been employed by dubai airport (from Heathrow) to head up organising the baggage part of the 'new' airport (as previously it was tiny and crap) and we went out to visit him. I was shocked at how dubai was a line of glittery building along the strip but right behind those buildings it was basically houses like a slum. That made me feel really uncomfortable as the people are used as cheap labour for the hotels etc. My father in law would only let us go out with him, not that the people were nasty to us. The sheikhs would drive mental on the roads and kill people (by accident) and nothing would happen-a few weeks before we arrived a sheikh had killed an English woman by driving her off the road. I remember we had a day out at jumeria beach club and the 'sail' hotel was being built, there were Indian men being pulled up to the very top of the building only by a rope around their waist, it was horrifying to see but my father in law said it was how they worked over here- they would get cheap Indian labour over to speed up the build and cut health and safety, many died. I would never visit the middle east again- by choice! And I say to family and friends the same. Too many abuses.

I’m Australian and I lived in Indonesia for many years. Some of the Indonesians & Indian people who had staff/help/maids that they get from other parts of Indonesia are definitely treated poorly. It’s a class system which is very different from my home country.

@@lmao5070 slavery to me is simply a human experience for some relative to place and time that has existed in virtually every society worthy of note. We have racialised it far too much because we constrain it to one example of a small snippet of history much in the same way we do with imperialism or colonialism. Morally it isn't justifiable as of today but like all things historical if we hadn't done them would the world be the way it is today? in the exact same version of events? to ensure that we are here. I think it's easy to condemn things when you live a modern human existence and view everything as a given but a small change in history could change everything. It's possible we rely on that to exist so therefore it's not condemnable much like the extermination of certain forms of life that seize to exist today I don't think it's justifiable in a modern standard but I understand it would be silly to outright condemn or say it's imperfect as it could well be the only reason I am typing now to you who would also not possibly exist to be able to read what im writing if things were any different human history is both flawed and perfect at the same time.

I work in houses of very rich people in Holland, Im painter and I know many maids there. This ladies have beautiful apartments for them self's, easy job with nice people, and they earn nice money to. Of course in this houses you can find asholes to, but you can just change house from tomorrow, no problem. What is going on in this arab countries is crazy, this people 60 years ago sleep in tents on desert and today they are kings without aristocratic blood, it is very sad and bad.
I read that in Dubai they would get migrants from India, women to be specific, as maids, promising high pay and as soon as they arrive they would take their passports and keep it so that they can't leave until the end of whatever contract they signed with them. And, of course, they would treat them horribly. In pakistan both Hindus and Christians suffer: Hindu girls are being kidnapped and forced to "revert" and marry muslis, and as for Christians, not only there would be mobs gathered to destroy bussinesses under false accusations of blasphemy but apparently some time ago there was a job add in the paper for positions as sewage cleaners that said it was for Christians only. I don't think there is anything shamefull in the job, but it tells you a lot abt the sentiment when it is "for Christians only". Sorry I don't know more about Hindus in Pakistan. Both Hindus and Christians in Bangladesh are being slaughtered by muslis as we speak and nobody says a word about it.
