Sergeant Kim Seokjin, Olympic Torchbearer! WOW! Super proud of him! 🤩 Ah, the Olympic Torch came through my city back in the 90s. It came right down the road in front of my workplace! It was so exciting! Thousands of people on both sides of the street, on the sidewalk and in the road. So many that there was only a little narrow footpath for the torchbearer to run on. People sitting and standing on their cars to see him go by, cheering and clapping and waving flags. I can still see him run by, with the biggest smile on his face. I think there will be more people than that for our dear Jin!

Les porteurs de la flamme sont tous Français, et on ne connaît jamais les noms des relayeurs en avance. On ne sait même pas qui sera celui ou celle qui allumera la flamme à Paris. Peut-être vient-il à Paris mais pour un autre événement….
I also thought it unusual but it is all over the news in Korea, again so many rumours around BTS I don’t think anyone knows what is real or false at the moment. He is reportedly representing South Korea (not BTS ) in the torch race. Maybe as it has only travelled from Greece to Paris they are having a leg for the countries that it did not travel through. That is the only explanation I can come with. Absolutely nothing on Weverse for it. I hope he is a representative of South Korea in a leg that would be a huge honour so I guess we wait and see or wait until there has been an official announcement. I know that Americans Shaun White Olympic Champion Snowboarder and actress Halle Berry are torch bearers as are several people from Monaco and Italy. As Jin is only just home maybe it is not widely known yet. Hopefully you can keep us informed from the French side.💜

Yes the member that has been in the spotlight the most, with, football games, going to the cinema and doing patrols and meeting famous people. He seems to pop up very often and because of his duties in civilian things, we will probably continue to see him often as well. The only other member we have seen a fair amount of is our Hope. I know that Jin and Suga choose to go low key and want no publicity and I think Jungkook, Jimin and RM are the same. Bear in mind Jin’s, Jimin’s and Jungkook base is the closest to the frontline so it may also be for security reasons.
