What needs to be comprehended, a Human being is born with two hearts, the one for the body and the one that is Spiritual, as the body NEEDS this heart of flesh to thrive in life so too the Spiritual heart, in fact wisdom dictates the Spiritual heart is more vital, as it says in Proverbs- a man may overcome a broken body but a crushed Spirit who can bare.

I heard someone once say "The Word Of God is like Water: It is deep enough that the most experienced Bible researcher/theologian can dive into it for a lifetime, and never touch the bottom, yet it is shallow enough that even baby Christians can swim without the fear of drowning.
Keep diving in the pool of His Love, and every day you will learn something new, even if its what not to do. (Which is equally important, haha)

Thanks lennie. Its just hard. 26 years old, got no job. Thinking of school. But still need work. Father is a working ,check cashing, drunken man. Mother never deserves this. I fear i'll lose more focusing on a better life. I know it is better to be obedient than to sacrifice but lately i prefer to be killed for my mother to have a better life. Times i feel like this world will never understand Love. Why labor if it doesn't let u show love. Why live in a world thats filled with dark ignorance. I trust u will pray for me.

I find it very interesting that no matter where in the times, God is able to communicate what He wants people to hear in ways they will understand... and then when we expand on our knowledge of His world, the Spirit will also start speaking through people in ways that account for the new things that we now know. It's like a parent expanding their vocabulary to teach their child as they grow up!
Even more interesting to me is that when you have a look at where these trains of thought begin (the language that the ancient Hebrews understood God's word in -> the way we have it today), it renews the concepts we have today in stunning ways. God's word is a timeless masterwork!

My grandma has been hurting for a few years now and was scheduled to have surgery in July. The doctor had to go on vacation though, and it had to be rescheduled to a few weeks ago. Again, there was a problem and they had to reschedule again for last week. This time she had the surgery and she has been recovering fast. The whole time, she kept her faith and God blessed her with this fast recovery. I know it doesn't really relate to the vid, but I figured I'd just share this personal testimony :).

I also have been pondering this, as I composed a piano solo 3 years ago (released December 2021) called "Each Heart" about the joy that every living thing will feel when the Savior reigns on the earth for 1,000 years.

When I taught in Bible College many years ago I use to teach this very thing and once my students would apply it to everything they did it was like a ," Light Bulb" moment.
Thoughts-> Motivate-> Behavior in all the things we do. Outside of learning about God's Devine Love & Mery & Grace which leads to Salvation. I personally learned those very steps so when I have stepped into the wrong direction I try to stop and examine and I apply these same principles I taught. How wonderful and kind our Heavenly Father is & Love / Mercy are endless.

The heart is the first thing to form in the womb when the baby is growing, it is the softest tissue, where all the hardest tissue comes out of, your entire bone structure comes out of your heart.
I think, the inner chambers of our being, our heart, is still our core self/ identity. Our Ruach.

Interesting. So the heart in Hebrew is "the mind, will, and emotions" - which is what we had been taught is the soul. While the soul in Hebrew (as explained in the "Soul" video) is one's being/existence. Fascinating!

They knew what the mind is... there was no confusion there. we are the ones confused about the heart.
Heart could mean "center" or "core" for our language. I imagine they used it the same way. The core of our brain is where our motor controls are so that fits in there with strength and soul.

In Hebrew this is a very unic word - אחד (Ehad).
In the bible we have other words that can be translated as "one": יחיד (Yahid) for example.
But while "yahid" means "single", "Ehad" can also mean one thing comprised of few. More like "unifid" than "single".
For example the bible uses Ehad to say "Adam and eve became one (ehad) flesh. United "one" comprized of 2 separate entities!
And it has a huge impact on the understanding of the concept of trinity in the old testament!
When the vers say hear ho Israel..the Lord is one, it reveals God's nature. One, but not single. Ehad, but not Yahid!
And that an idea the Jewish people today are not willing to accept. And the reason why many reject Christianity. Because "you believe in 3 Gods when the bible says the Lord is one." One, but not single, Ehad, but not Yahid!

I have a question. If the Israelites had no concept of the brain, then how come they use the word 'mind" in the Old Testament? For example, in Deuteronomy 11:18 it says, "18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads." IF the Israelites had no understanding of the brain, how did they conceptualize the fact that you did things with your "mind." I am not trying to trip you up, I am just confused at that. Please answer and have a wonderful day. Thank you so much for what you do, though. It helps us visual people understand the scriptures. I am 14 years old and already understand the Bible better than all of my peers, and I would give you guys a lot of the credit! :)
Ethan Norton I thought the same thing young man. Bravo for the catch. Remember to always scrutinize things and study them yourself before committing them to your heart. Scripture says that the spirit of a man is in the blood, the heart is central to the circulatory system, I would conclude that the heart is symbolic of the spirit, the mind is the soul or intellect and the body makes up the 3 parts of man. But you may study and pray and be shown more than this.
