My sister took one on "23 & Me" and got around 55% native, but they do not specify tribes. I guess my native ancestry DNA percentage would be around her percentage too, maybe higher. They only told us the tree major regions our ancestors came from, which are: Michoacán, Jalisco, and Guanajuato. So I speculate we have a mixture of P'urhépecha, Coca/Caxcan, and Chichimeca (Guamares tribe) blood.

I wouldn't completely blame the narrator or other Non-Natives for mispronouncing Indigenous words and names. I partly blame how the language of Spanish has a weird way of transcribing and translating words that conquistadors barely understood in the first place.
For some odd reason, X is used for "sh" sound as in Mexica (Meh-shee-kah). Z is used for S as in Meztli (Mestli; Moon) or Tezcatlipoca (Tescatlipoka), the Teteo or Mexica God of divination and obsidian.
"Que" is not pronounced kwe, but it is Keh as in Quetzalcoatl (KET-sal-co-atl).
Somehow the C's are different too. It's basically ca, que, qui, co, cu (ka, ke, ki, ko, ku).
Cua, cue, cui, and cuo are basically sounds of kwa, kwe, kwi, and kwo. Cuautemoc was the last Mexica emperor and his nme is pronounced Kwawtemok.
Hua, hue, hui, and huo are also just W's as in Nahuatl (Na-watl) or clear speech, Hueyi Tlatoani (WEH-yee tlah-toh-AH-nee) or Great Emperor, and Huehuetlatolli (Wewetlatolli) or oral history told by the Mexica elders.
And the most common sound in Nahuatl (tl) is not found in English, French, or Spanish. But it is found in Welsh, associated with the double ll letters. The tl in Nahuatl functions the same way the ll does in Welsh. It is almost like a mix between an L and a th sound.
After all as a foreign language, Spanish is just so clumsy as it tries to transcribe Indigenous languages. Linguists could have done better jobs but we're stuck with this system. So the way to pronounce the P'urhepecha Empire's capital Tzintzuntzani is just switch the z's to S. It is basically "Tsin-tsun-tsani"
While Nahuatl remains the most widely spoken Indigenous American language in North America with 2 million native speakers (only second to Runasimi in Peru with more than 12 million native speakers), there are more than 700,000 P'urhepecha people who still remain in their ancestral territory in Michoacan, Mexico today.

Ironically I found this video on February 1, 2021. Every year, since 1983, the Purépechas of Michoacán celebrate the night of the 1st and the 2nd of February the new year, with the lighting ceremony of the New Fire, which goes back to the pre-Hispanic period.

Yeah. Spanish accounts say it was normal in pre-columbian times if we captured enemy indians on the land they would be sacrificed to Kurikaweri and have their hearts eaten by the priests. The unlucky sacrifice was seen as a spiritual messenger being sent to the god the friars identified as the devil.
