The decision thing is a real thing. If I haven't planned what to do for dinner before the day starts, I don't have the mental capacity to decide on it after work.
I don't have a strict routine for either morning or evening. We have a puppy so most of it is puppy stuff but when we had an older dog my routine was 30 mins of dog stuff, feeding, playing, a morning walk, 10 mins to make and pack lunch, 20 mins to get ready for work, and 10 mins for a quick clean up. When i had my routine be more detailed i found myself going ugh screw it way more. In the evening i just have relax/fun time and usually that's reading for me but it could be any pastime, and i have hygiene which could be a whole shower or it could be just moisturizer and brushing my hair if i don't feel up to a whole shower.
A little shelf paper would hide the rust in the medicine cabinet. Target has the nice ones that aren’t adhesive so it comes right out when you don’t need it anymore.
4 years in Chicago and have yet to have an apartment with a fridge that makes ice 😅 I will say an ice cube bin is a game changer though so you can get a stockpile of ice built up and don’t have to get ice out of the tray every time.
I'm on Long Island & I've never lived in an apartment that had a nice medicine cabinet! My current apartment has brand new wood floors the medicine cabinet didn't even get a "landlord special" coat of paint!
If you are comfortable driving a u-haul/similar size truck, pay to have movers load in in NYC, and unload in Chicago, and you/Sam do the actual transit. On a completely different topic, Croatia made it the WC final in 2018 - so I don’t consider them to be big underdogs. But I also don’t expect them to win the whole thing.

When you showed your tattoo ''"DO" and its meaning ------it all came together for me! My word of the year is ......DO! with the underscript of Divine Order! Thank you! Just had to share!
We used abf u pack and had a great experience. You pay for how much space you use, so stack tall and then put the dividers up and they'll measure how many feet you used. For our cross country move it was $2,500 to rent a U-Haul (including gas) and $3,500 to use the u pack by abf and not have to drive it ourselves. We had a really great experience with it but living in the city it might not work because it is a whole ass 18 wheeler. We also looked into the u haul i think they're called u boxes where they move them for you but people said they weren't weatherproof and we were moving a bed and some real wood heirloom furniture so we didn't want to risk it. If you put tarps over your boxes it would probably be fine and way easier than driving a U-Haul yourself.
In my car we packed only the most important/delicate stuff. Our computers and tech stuff, my partners cello, any documents we had, medicine, a suitcase with clothes and hygiene stuff, etc. We spent a couple weeks with my aunt because it took about a week for them to move but they'll store it for a little while for free.
I have to tell you that I love watching you think out loud and then say things like, "that is not what I am talking about in this clip". This is so me, so I get you! Also, though I don't care for sports I love watching other get excited about their sporting events. Thanks for another fun video Laken!

Love your vlog, as always. I get water everywhere too when I wash my face at the sink which is why I usually wash my face in the shower and then use a face wipe at night (if I take my shower in morning/afternoon).
If you don’t have a lot of stuff to move could you rent a minivan? We have a Toyota Sienna and our seats fold into the floor. We actually moved a front load washer and dryer with pedestals from NY to PA.

I feel you completely on washing my face. I rarely do it if I'm not in the shower. I just feel like water gets EVERYWHERE if I wash it at the sink.

I think it's less of comfort driving the Uhaul and more of saftey for Charley in the Uhaul!

Tip for washing your face at the sink... don't splash water to rinse your face. Wipe the soap off with a wet washcloth!
