I am a Day-Of Coordinator and have been in the industry for 10 years and I could not agree with you more about couples losing sight about the real meaning of their weddings. It seems like all of the details (food, centerpieces, cocktails, favors, etc.) have become far more important than the actual marriage part of the day. I tell all of my couples not to stress about the details, because at the end of the day they get to marry the person they love and that's all that matters.

The fact that the bride in the first story waited to mention drama after photos were done is soo smart. Not saying that the photographer would do anything, but at that point she obviously couldn't trust the photographer because of the assistant's actions.
