It is hard to tell about the low end here on a laptop but the other features came through just fine and are truly exciting. For being on sale at $29.99 this is a steal. I was just looking for something like this and you guys found it in a compact size.
Why did they stop producing on this amazing unit? I don't understand. Anyway, I just found one on ebay for $175. I immediately pulled the trigger! I can't believe they used to sell this amazing product for only $29. Wish I had known about it back then.
Interesting product. I'm interested to know a little more abotút the sub synth. Does it actually add additional frequencies one octave lower to the mix or does it use the "missing fundamental" psychoacoustic model? The psychoacoustic model would mean that the additional low frequencies are perceived but not actually reproduced. This would be extremely useful for venues where low frequency noise pollution to neighbouring properties is an issue.
Because some features on some units didn't work...my anti feedback does nothing..but eq compressor and sub work fine.. bought it on release for 69.. dropped to 29 bucks now discontinued
Hi there , I just bought this gear and I don't think I did right on the connection , surely I'm missing something here . I'm not a pro DJ and I'm just in for the enjoyment but from time to time my friend or the office would ask me to take charge of the audio and mostly its for speech event with occasional pre recorded music from my phone / Pandora. The event would normally cover from 500-1000 sitting capacity . The gear in using is a Yamaha non powered mixer , a Berhinger 1200 watt powered sub woofer daisy chained to two Behringer 550 watt powered speakers. Now where I got this GoRack the guy on the phone was not really very helpful for someone who knows little of best connection based on my application . I'm wondering based on the gear I have here and the application and venue I intend to use you could help me best set this up providing the best quality . Thanks
Can you apply different settings to each channel? For example, an acoustic guitar in one input and a percussionist in the other. This is specifically for recording / videoing a live performance using a Tascam DR-60D MKII synced to a high end DSLR camera. I would want to apply greater compression to the percussionist than the acoustic guitar. (Reverb would be applied in post...)
Can you use the DBX Go Pro with an XLR Microphone to record my voice onto a computer? Will this device allow you to record audio via a pc sound card? Can I use the DBX Pro to get audio onto a computer with a 3.5 mic and a pc sound card. Is this possible?
Yeah they should make a GoRack 2 with DSP and sub out. And make it control-able via USB or Bluetooth devices as an additional more in-depth option than the on board controls.
I really like the DBX GORACK, but the anti-feedback function doesn't work. Apart from that, everything works fine. Can you make another video that shows how to use that function in more detail (Just the feed-back process).
+Daniela y Fito check out around 2:20 on this video. press and hold the anti-feedback button, release and scroll to choose 1-3 to suite the environment. press anti-feedback button again to confirm.
I also got this and everything was great but the anti-feedback. I did watch the video and I noticed that he waited until it started to feedback and then clicked it on. I was just leaving it on hoping it wouldn't allow for feedback but didn't quite work that way. Do I have to wait until I get feedback and then turn it on?
Can the sub section be used to add lower octave for kick drum mix?And does it work well for this application- where the input isn't a bass guitar?Or am I better off with a 120 rack mount . Or what would you suggest for this app?
+bassmike2010 Sorry for the delayed response! The SubSynth can certainly be used on a kick drum and would synthesize in additional low frequencies. The 120 would offer a greater level of control for the people that love to tweak.
This is such a gem in a small box. Good thing i got 2 of these before it was discontinued and the price now sky rocketed.

This Go Rack Looks So Cool
Cool box. Good presentation. Music sample was horrible choice.
I wish there was a way to input compressor setting to it for manual control. Also, can I use this in the studio?

Impressive compressor, what did you have it set to on the acoustic guitar setting?
How come dbx dont make this gorack anymore? They should make a gorack 2.
Because some features on some units didn't work...my anti feedback does nothing..but eq compressor and sub work fine.. bought it on release for 69.. dropped to 29 bucks now discontinued
press, scroll, and GO! nice.
can you please make more videos about this
can this product be used in a recording studio. hooking up the studio mic and setting up the compression on the dbx before going into my daw?
Can i make my own custom EQ presets somehow ?

How would I use this with a powered mixer? Can I just run from the outputs on the mixer and then to some non powered mains?

+Dan Ritthaler All processing in the goRack is stereo-tied together. There is no way to separately control the left and right signals.
Not a problem. I ordered anyway. Thanks for the reply.
Does it work.
Pretty much garbage.
Thanks for The reply. I purchased one form Zzounds. Doesnt work. Sent them an email waiting for reply. Did you find anthing simular that works?
is the dbx gorack strictly for use on powered speakers
Can you connect the dbx goRack to a bose L1 compact system?
Great Vid!

Why not do fx inside dbx goRack
this is possible open the controls with the driverack software? or we can use just with presets from the fabrication?
HAAS EVENTOS it does not have a connection to change it's presets. You get what it has
DIdnt they miss the boat by not adding a usb interface?
Yeah they should make a GoRack 2 with DSP and sub out. And make it control-able via USB or Bluetooth devices as an additional more in-depth option than the on board controls.
Still no definitive answer from DBX as to why it was discontinued.

+Shaun Costello I leave anti-feedback on all the time.
Is the anti feedback works? I'm interested in getting one of this or a Behringer with also anti feedback. Do you guys recommend this product?
Always thought I was doing the anti feedback wrong too.. it just doesn't work it's probably why they discontinued it..
Do the inputs provide Phantom Power for condenser mics?
