Latest models of hinds have shorter stub wings and fixed lading gear in addition to stuff you see in this vid (multi function displays etc). But that's just me recalling stuff from memory - can't guarantee what I've said is 100% correct - if somebody finds mistake in my comment, please correct me. :)
@Militarija The Apache is newer, but i have to differ in apache and "multirole" - Which helicopter, if not the Hind, is Multirole? It was designed to drop bombs, to transport Cargo, Ammunition or Soldiers (Afaik the only combined cargo-gunship-helicopter) or, in special versions, even for scientific purposes (measurement of radiation and particles, a few hinds were specially modified for this purpose with external robot-arms for taking soil samples and devices for scientists in the cargoroom)

Of course Hind has huge exhausts but that issue has been lowered in the later models. I think Hind and Apache are both just as easy to shoot down with a Stinger.

I simply do not understand Russians! They have the best ATGM and anti structure, and AA proximity weapon, all packed in one, Vikhr missile! It is so effective, and deadly however, it is only used in KA52 and SU25 and SU24. DOnt undertand why they dont apply it in MI24.

OMG Children, Read and learn something about the Yankee toys and then about the Russian flying tank. The MI-35 has in every aspect better survivability, as for weapons RTFM "Read the Fucking Manual". The MI-35 armament is massive and lethal with fire and forget missiles "air-air" or "Ground-air", its fast and can hover high and low.
what video game. apache has better speed better role time, i dont like propaganda from us or russia but what really decides it is experienced pilots which russia doesn't have. india does have a little but against not much of an army.

Apache is worse. It's too vulnerable. If Iraq or Talibs had better weapons, such as heavy autoguns and Igla/Stinger/etc you would have considerable losses. So, the its armor is too light. It's ok when you fighting weak enemy, but would be a nightmare if the enemy is strong and numereous.

@Tehpolev @Tehpolev can't you see how many missiles this dragon carries? mi-24/ mi-35 has more powerful engines to carry the troopers and the weapons load. that makes it bigger in size (less stealthy), slower (when fully loaded), and clumsier. but hey, it can give a hell of a firepower and drop troopers, cover them, and rescue. amazing stuff. don't worry about weapons, there's more than enough for doing dirty works.
Two General Electric T700 turboshaft engines, based on weight to power ratio, this chopper is faster way more maneuverable, including flips. 30MM automatic M230 Chain Gun that follow gunners head. AIM-92 Stinger air-to-air missiles for countermeasures defense, choppers worst enemy. TADS/PNVS system, passive infrared countermeasures, IHADSS and the list goes on. Anyone who studies choppers can easily see which is better. Apache cost way more, but the technology is also more advanced.
I will say that Mi 35 is still Mi 24 but onl few things are renewed is added new type of rockets(anti tank + renewed P.T.U.R.S (that in russian)) Plus enginiers looked at the problem of a heat sign now is redisegned . Mi 35 can fight with American Cobra with better chances to survive . With Apache will be a problem cause Apache is more modern and he can shoot from longer distances but if happen that Mi 35 will see appache then ....you know IMHO ....
Guys, quit arguing over which is better, the apache is a GREAT helicopter as is this, I also HIGHLY doubt we will ever, ever, EVER find out mainly because I doubt Russia will ever go to war with America, and if it does, we will see which is better, so quit arguing, and accept they are both great aircraft.

Despite the Apache being a far superior chopper, I have always like the Mi-35. The way it looks and it's sounds just seems so opposing.
Mi 35 is virtually a flying tank & a deadly force multiplier . I am glad that even India has also opted for the same for its armed forces.
