Hey I've been wondering how can you see your rank at the bottom of screen during the game? I've been trying to figure it out so if you could link a tutorial or even make one that would be awesome!
I am dimond 3 with skill level of maybe plat and my biggest advice is that you dont actually need early game kills, choose your dropspot and land it every game, dont just go on hot spots, get some loot, if you see somebody in your way shoot them, but dont overdo it, if you dont get huge advantage, dont key them, play slower, wait for their mistake, try to get health advantage from the distance and then key. Rocket ram can be good for getting into people boxes from above and dealing 50 damage, but if you see that carrying rocket only makes you get beamed out of the sky and using it to get into peoples boxes only makes you die - dont carry it, there are lots of safer options to deal damage without even risking, for example c4`s. Try experimenting with that and if you feel them, you can get huge advantage qithout even trying to take the wall (same with rocket, but you have short window to hit your shotgun/piece ctrl after using it so if ur not able to abuse it, there is no point of doing it) and if you get this health advantage via c4/ rocket you can then take the wall, bc even if you are terrible at it, like me, you can actually afford to trade shots because(in this scenario) you have huge health advantage and opponent is 1 shot. So in conclusion, play safe, dont overdo it and chose strats relevant to your skill level
