Buff makes sense because he's a very mechanically-intense hero and this'll probably make him more viable to lower level players who aren't as tuned-in on his recoil But I think he's already got a lot of power and a tiny buff like this wasn't really needed for him, it's gonna make his crazy amounts of damage even more blatant if he ends up being played more
He didn't need it, and his recoil wasn't hard. Character feeling shouldn't always be smooth as butter, that's where the skill expression comes in. A top player needing to control that all the time to hit shots is impressive, this is just skillless, and I say that as a guy with bap in his rotation.

Like, I've played a lot of bap, and I'm decent with lamp saves and my healing output, etc. But with the recoil change, I really feel like a combat medic. Taking down people from across the map with ease is insane. A wise man once said, "Sometimes the only way to save a life is to take one"
I do like those changes as before his weapon felt super janky having to control the recoil and lead your grenades, but it's definitely highlighting how broken of a support baptiste is. I personally don't think any support beside zen should have more than a 120 dps burst, especially not the support with 3 lifes thanks to his cool-downs. Bap needs a rework, not because he's not working but because lamp + burst on the same hero is just super annoying to deal with, and burst is the lamest support cool-down anyways. They should move window to his ability 1 and make it work on a ressource meter like DM, with of course the damage boost being severely nerfed.
I wish they hadn’t given bap this buff cause now I’ve had 4 different Baps trying to prove themselves this week and throw my games as they are ONLY dpsing. I even had one that wouldn’t even use shift to heal himself…

Man this game really believes that skill isn't fun. Blizzard is absolutely certain that any form of experience, knowledge or skill on a hero would tank the game. How are they able to dumb down every single hero?! People shamed Moira players because the hero was easy to play but now they're just making all heroes a "Hey buddy, want some ice cream? I know you failed on your test, but that's the teachers fault, not yours". The game has lost all competitive integrity. If you take the heroes that literally broke the meta because their kit was so overpowered and then make them even easier to play, just because all heroes need to have the same winrate in all skill tiers, you shouldn't be working with a complex competitive game. Anyone know that risk/skill/reward needs to be weighed against eachother. These days they're just trying to make it a competition of what hero have the lowest skill but the highest reward. Take a wild guess why ranked is just 5 heroes over and over again
