i just think that the kid will grow up ya know. if i were a kid with one of or both parents on internet i dont know if i wouldve liked having my childhood on display. i dont think that parents that expose kids like that think about the fact that their kid will be someone just like them one day. it just looks like they think the kid will be forever a kid with no preferences.
Love that even though you pretty much immediately felt a connection to your baby, that you made it clear that its totally normal not to feel a connection until baby is born! Honestly it can be normal not to feel that strong connection until several weeks or months after baby arrives! So happy for you mama-you are strong and resilient and its okay to embrace both the ups and downs of pregnancy and parenting!

Kalyn you made me feel so much better. I am a FTM and currently 28 weeks. Our house is still being renovated as well and I've been feeling so bad that we aren't further along before baby comes. You made me feel better that I am not alone and it's okay. Little baby will be happy and safe even if not every little project gets done before their birth.
Pregnancy has been my favorite part of my life so far tbh lol. Crazy how different our bodies are during pregnancy and how beautiful it is to nourish another life inside you.

So excited for you guys, baby is going to be so loved ❤. Fun fact (something I did not even know until my daughter was born) 0-3 and newborn sizing is not the same! I had to run out and buy a whole bunch of newborn clothes after my daughter arrived because all I had was 0-3 and it was all waaaaaaay to big LOL. Also really love how you spoke about the connection to baby and how it's normal to not feel one at all until the baby actually comes. I think this can be especially true for people who have experienced miscarriage and loss. For me I did not feel a connection to my daughter until she was born and even then it wasn't immediate...I know they share our bodies for 9+ months but they are technically strangers LOL. I knew that I loved her and would do anything to protect her but I went through postpartum depression and anxiety and honestly my love and connection to her just took time to grow. She is almost 3 now and I grow more connected and more in love with her with each day that passes.
Kalyn, I fully support you keeping your child off the channel. That is a GREAT choice to make to protect your child from all that could happen online. I fully applaud this and I am so happy to hear you will not follow suit of so many others that exploit their children for the sake of content. Thank you for being such an amazing human!

I just posted my first video and plan to work on my channel but my biggest fear is to not succeed to keep my privacy private. I see this pregnancy as head start. a divine intervention from the universe. It couldnt have come at a better time. Once the baby boy comes out onto this earth life will no longer be intentionally organized. You will be focusing on your little one and his needs. His needs will be unexpected. So, im sure that this is the universe giving you a head start to get used to having inconsistency.
I don’t post or talk really about my kids on my channel. But I’m strictly gaming and occasionally post cruise and vacation stuff or concert stuff. I’m not comfortable with the idea of them on the internet cause I experienced when I was very young the reality of this world and the internet

My partner and I are expecting and several of the staff at my midwives clinic casually refer to my "husband" when he's not around.... Have you experienced anything like this? We haven't faced many issues, the most judgement I've had on this factor has actually been online but I just shoo shoo the snark away. Most people that assume we're married and call us by husband/wife are just unaware and don't mean anything by it and anyone that actually judges the fact that we aren't are just projecting their limiting ideals and world views which only shows who they are and isn't as personal to me/us as they may try to make it. We've made our commitment to each other in our own private/non-traditional way and can take that more traditional/public route when life settles down a bit, same for you guys if you choose to!! ♥️ Congratulations ps and sending you happiness and health on your journey too!

I totally feel so happy about your decision to keep your family, especially your child private. I always felt like it is a little unsafe for children to have their lives broadcasted to such a big audience, even if the intentions of the content creator is good. The internet can be brutal and also, if they ever decide that they are not ok with all their childhood being available on the internet, it is near impossible to remove the content anymore.
I feel like I can speak to my baby like with my mind, idk if that's weird but I feel like I can talk to him that way and he like responding with kicks..
I honestly came here just to ask you to consider not having your baby on the internet when he arrives and I am so happy/relieved to hear that you don't plan on doing it. Props to you for making that decision! ❤️

I wanted to start trying in December but I just got a carrier screening done and some things have come up. I'll be filming it solely for us to keep but in terms of putting any of it into a vlog, I will likely only share some of the early/active labour leading up to his arrival and then cut to after and update how we're all doing ♥️ There are some amazing and vulnerable birthing vlogs out there that truly showcase it all, and I'm grateful for the people who felt comfortable sharing those as it can and has really helped a lot of people prepare (including myself), but that's also how I know that style of content isn't a void that needs to be filled by sharing the more intimate moments of my own delivery!

I don’t post or talk really about my kids on my channel. But I’m strictly gaming and occasionally post cruise and vacation stuff or concert stuff. I’m not comfortable with the idea of them on the internet cause I experienced when I was very young the reality of this world and the internet

My partner and I are expecting and several of the staff at my midwives clinic casually refer to my "husband" when he's not around.... Have you experienced anything like this? We haven't faced many issues, the most judgement I've had on this factor has actually been online but I just shoo shoo the snark away. Most people that assume we're married and call us by husband/wife are just unaware and don't mean anything by it and anyone that actually judges the fact that we aren't are just projecting their limiting ideals and world views which only shows who they are and isn't as personal to me/us as they may try to make it. We've made our commitment to each other in our own private/non-traditional way and can take that more traditional/public route when life settles down a bit, same for you guys if you choose to!! ♥️ Congratulations ps and sending you happiness and health on your journey too!

I totally feel so happy about your decision to keep your family, especially your child private. I always felt like it is a little unsafe for children to have their lives broadcasted to such a big audience, even if the intentions of the content creator is good. The internet can be brutal and also, if they ever decide that they are not ok with all their childhood being available on the internet, it is near impossible to remove the content anymore.

I absolutely love your purple dress!! Where is it from? I started taking prenatals about 6 months ago. And got off of bc 40 days ago (still no period btw). I wanted to start trying in December but I just got a carrier screening done and some things have come up. I'll be filming it solely for us to keep but in terms of putting any of it into a vlog, I will likely only share some of the early/active labour leading up to his arrival and then cut to after and update how we're all doing ♥️ There are some amazing and vulnerable birthing vlogs out there that truly showcase it all, and I'm grateful for the people who felt comfortable sharing those as it can and has really helped a lot of people prepare (including myself), but that's also how I know that style of content isn't a void that needs to be filled by sharing the more intimate moments of my own delivery!

hi there, marriage and engagement don't always equal love and commitment, is simply a legal document of your commitment (that can be made privately) and is also a very outdated way of judging someone living their lives and doing what's best so the only thing sad is how boxed in this type of thinking is.
We chose to keep the creation of our love, ain't nothing sad about that ♥️
