Spining a prayer wheel is to pray for the peace in the world. In prayer wheel, a mantra (om mani peme hung) is being carved which gives the inner peace and self realization to all the human beings. The reason mantra is carved on those prayer wheel is that just by spining that prayer wheel, a mantra is recited thousand times which equals to the chanting of mantra through mouth. I think the mountain you were pointing to be a Mt Everest is a Mt Langtang....or some mountain in Langtang range...you can see Mt Everest from chandragiri or Nagarkot in a very clear day with a binocular ...cheers

there is gonna be big festival called "saat gaule jatra" that means 7 villages festival.
Nice video but the place Swyambhu looks dirty... it looks like no one from swyambhu seems bother to clean it. Stairs are full of plastics....
i live in that area and i and my friends were once surrounded by groups of monkey like u said in video. is wasn't because we had food its because we were stupid 😂
i was about 11 or 12 years old and we went to deep forrest of the temple and started to chase monkey with sticks for fun and for 2 minuts there was no monkey in and its was quite and suddenly lots of monkey came and surrounded us and started to scream at us and at that moment i thought it was my last day.
i was never scared in my life as like that 😂😂
