Significance of the place :
Maa Ghanteswari Temple is located at Sambalpur City in the banks of Mahanadi (A major river of Odisha). This temple is full of Bells everywhere. Ghanta stands for bells , hence the name Ghanteswari.
Earlier days, the Bells helped the sailors warn against the heavy winds. In a way, this served as a light house but without light.
