Low level thinking. Why demolish hoses when we can create water channels? Amsterdam that is below sea level doesn’t flood like Nigeria during rain. Countries move water 100’s of miles from melting mountain snow to population centers. Pumps, dykes, retention ponds, levies, pipes, Culver’s etc. Get civil engineers to solve this problem stop the lazy approach of “allow water flow as it will, destroy anything in its path eg: houses”.
