This one is a real beauty. It looks like it has lots of stars caused by the splashes of red on throughout the bloom. Stunning. It is nice when you see your orchids recovering but it also means patience. I have faith in you that your Miltoniopsis orchids will turn around and then there you go lots of them. Great video! I’m growing all my orchids in water. I’m going to try my first miltoniopsis this weekend. It seems that trying a new orchid is like a new science experiment. Hopefully, she’ll like San Francisco Bay Area climate.

Love miltoniopsis, pansies are my favorite annual. This one really is special. I’ve had 3, lost 1 with 2 looking rough. It’s just to warm here. Good luck with yours. I think you made a great decision with your potting method. If it works why not?! Looks like you grow them all very well 👏👏
Jess T. That’s true some are less fussy but the islands also have their own micro climates. I just happen to be in a hot dry arid area for maybe 7 months out of the year. I believe Roy Tokunaga said it was the worst area to grow orchids on Oahu lol 200 orchids later I’m just now hearing that. Ah well

Over the years unfortunately I've killed a few miltoniopsis.I had a 'Cream puff' for 3 years, that I loved but its health declined and I lost it. 😥I have one miltoniopsis left in my collection. I have to keep them in a cool room. What temperatures do you grow your miltoniopsis ?
It depends on the media and your environmental conditions. Generally, I would say when the media is fairly dry, it does not like to stay dry for extended periods of time. I water mine about 2-3x a week in the summertime as the plants are growing more and about 1x week or less in the winter.
I just ordered some more miltoniopsis orchids. I want to master them and get them to reboot. Breathless and Galaxy are beauties.

I’ve not tried this type of orchid because I’m just not a fan but this one changed my mind!! It’s gorgeous
