Hey, guys!! This video was recoded a couple of weeks ago, and I never put it up! I'm still under the weather but thank you for all the get well comment!! Love you guys!!!!
I love you Kathleen! I seriously buy everything you recommend! I love love love love..... love love you! I'm sorry that was creepy lol. Get better please!
so for you candles, there is a thing called mr. coffee and its meant for mugs but you can use it for candles as well and it melts your candle instead of burning it so you can literally keep your candle forever and it will never shrink. you get the same smell as you would from a flame, the only downside is that the wick goes to the bottom so you cant burn it again you would have to keep using the little mr. coffee thing!! i use it and its amazing because you dont have to spend money on candles ever again haha
Just buy a wick and pore the wax in to a smaller container and put the wick in the middle set it aside wait for it to get hard again and then u can just burn them now
and another tip, for a better burn and the candle to last a little more before you start to burn them put them overnight in the freezer, it does sound weird but it does work! I always do it with all my candles!
Nooo Don't buy anything to melt the candle. Just heat to warm- slightly hot water in a pot or bowl and sit the candle in an inch of water. Once the candle melts just pour the unused wax in the newer candle. Then take a papertowel and wipe the candle holder clean. Us may need to reheat to remove all wax. Xoxo
There's an actual thing thats a candle holder which renews your wax. So when your wax melts downwards it collects at the bottom and solidifies again so you can reuse it. I saw it somewhere but can't remember the name. Apologies.
Get a wax warmer! From Wal-Mart or Target. They usually come with a dish that you put the little wax cubes in, but you could just use the leftover wax from your candle. :)
You know what??Initially I started watching your videos for Beauty tips, but NOW I do just to see you talking!!you are so natural, and all those faces you make often, that is too adorable. My husband is so jealous of you.LOL.never wished to meet any celebrity; but I wish i could meet u someday, only to see you talk in person!!
You are literally the only youtuber that i don't skip parts in their videos. I get bored watching other youtubers long videos but I NEVER get bored in your videos! I LOVE YOU
So many vídeos such llitle time 👍👍👍👍 Jackie approves!!! It really feels like the Holidays with so many videos as gifts to those of who watch your channel religiously! 😘 You're amaziiiing!!!
"Omg this video is so long!" You literally say that in every video!!! I love the length of your videos. I just let you talk and talk and talk while I clean up my room, organize my makeup etc.
Hi Kathleen! Tips for your candles. First, you can buy a candle burner (they have them at WalMart) that is a flat plate that burns the candle from the bottom. This will allow you to finish burning your candles without a wick! I believe these burners are less than $10. You'll be very surprised at how much burning time you have left on your candles by using your burning plate! Secondly, you can take the wax out of your candle and chop it up into medium to small sized pieces to burn them in a tart burner you may have in your house. Just place the pieces in your burner, turn it on (or light a tea light candle, however yours works) and sit back to enjoy the smell! I burn my extra candle pieces in my Scentsy burners and they work GREAT!! I hope one of these two suggestions help you! Much love!!!
Kathleen!!! all you need to do is get a candle warmer. they sell them everywhere like Target, Walmart, Kmart, many places. they are usually around $10. mine came with a little dish that I can put those little wax cubes in or take the dish off and set a candle on it and it melts them down the rest of the way. Then I reuse the candle jar to hold things like Q-tips, cotton balls, round pads for you face ect. I love mine ive had it for a long time and it works very well.
With face washes- lush has a bar soap called coalface which works amazing on my oily/sensitive/blemish prone skin. It leaves your skin feeling clean but not super dry like others. It's also slightly exfoliating & really softens your skin. Using that with my cosmetic warrior fresh face mask (also from lush) I haven't had a breakout in months! The price of coalface depends on how big of a chunk you purchase but it's inexpensive. A container of cosmetic warrior fresh face mask is $6-7 I believe. I highly highly recommend both! Great video as always, Kathleen! Love the lip color on you!
Hi Kathleen!!! The candles get black and sooty like that if you don't trim the wicks every few uses. They say you should keep the wick under 1/2 an inch at all times! I just thought I'd let you know! :)
The moment you upload the video I stop everything...listening to my husband LoL, cooking, cleaning, working... You are one of my favorites. I have learned so much with you!!! Thanks for always putting a smile in our faces!!!!! xoxo Roxy from Puerto Rico!!!!
To burn the rest of the candle buy a cheap coffee warmer.. I got mine from k-mart for like 5$ or you can sometimes find them at the thrift store for like 1$.. but basically you turn it on and put the candle on it.. ( its pretty much a candle warmer ) it melts the wax.. I use it all the time when my candles get down to the very bottom like that one.. its safe also.. but anyways you melt it til it runs out or melt it down and poor it out in to a class container ( like an old candle without any wax in it, or I even use a smaller old coffee cup ) and just use that on the coffee warmer and the bigger container is empty ! Hope all is well. I LOVE your videos ! Thank you so much! hope this works for you ! KathleenLights
Kathleen I recommend an electric wax warmer. They usually have a heating element in the base and then a dish that sits on top to hold wax cubes or tartlettes. You can either chip the wax out of the jar and put it in the dish OR if you get one designed without a lip around the heating element you can just set the jar on top of it. I like the electric ones rather than the ones that use a tealight because why use one candle to melt another candle??? Plus you can use the wax melter to de-pot cosmetics instead of using a lighter to melt the plastic to loosen the glue. Much easier IMO. Great for lip products. I use a spatula or toothpick to get all of the lipstick bits out of the bottom of the tube, melt the lipstick in an empty tealight tin, pinch the tin to make a spout, and pour it into a smaller pan or pot. The warmer is just warm enough to make it liquid, but not so warm it alters the consistency of the lipstick.I've made some cool "leftover swirl" pans - waste not, want not :)
I actually CAN NOT stop watching your videos and tutorials, I love you really. and I really really trust your tastes of make up. Thank you so much A fan of you all the way from Kuwait! :)
Kathleen, you are great! With the healthy sexy hair, it's worth keeping in mind that if you buy it from TJ Max, or a similar store, they are not licensed to sell them and more often than not the products are tampered with. I actually don't prefer the shampoo either, but as far as smell, mine is on point with all the other soy argon products that healthy sexy hair makes.
CANDLE SOLUTION!!!!!! I have the same problem with my BBW candles too. If you go to WalMart, in the candle section, they have flat, electric candle burners that will melt the wax of your candle without you having to light your wicks. It really does work! I wouldn't do a full candle on the thing because the wax will burn up too soon but it's perfect to finish off a BBW candle who's wicks peter out too soon. You'll be surprised at how long the candle will continue to burn. Also, do you have a Scentsy burner or any other type of tart burner? If so, you can freeze your jars, pop the wax out, put it in a gallon sized ziplock bag, and break it up into pieces that you can then burn in your tart/Scentsy burner. The scent will be the same and you can continue to enjoy your favorite scent for that much longer! I hope one of these two options help you! Much love!!!!
one thing we've tried to keep using that leftover wax is taking out and putting it in a small pan and burn it but in the stove on low and you can reuse it for a long time. cause for some reason it doesn't waste as fast as a candle would. great for making your home smell awesome. hope it helps :)
Kathleen girl, you are so pretty!!! I have been a subscriber of yours since I was 11 and I am now 13 so I have been watching your videos for two years now and you brighten my day each time you upload a new video you are my role model and wish I could meet you but sadly I live in the UK so there is a slim chance but I will always love you, you are my favourite RUclipsr! xxx :) :)
i've been watching your videos for probably over a year now, and i have to say, you easily became one of my favorites to watch. you're so easy to watch and such a joy to watch as well. you're so comfortable and silly and i think that's why i literally binge watch all your videos, even if i've seen them before. you're like a friend ;)
Oh my god another video??? Kathleen!!! You are on fire! I hope you're okay now though, drink lots of water and vitamin C so you can boost up your immune system 💕💕💕 love you and you look beautiful here
KathleenLights you're welcome ❤❤ also you can make your leftover wax into tarts! You know the ones Yankee candle has and they're really tiny! You need a wax tart melter thing tho
Your bloopers are seriously the BEST, wish they were longer. Continue being real, it's what makes you so different than the rest. Love all your videos and look forward to the future videos. Love ya Kathleen =)
A year late, but worth it. Easy, clean wax transfer. 1. two inches of water in a pot, place glass container on medium heat. 2. melt, remove wick bases 3. pour melted wax to the top your next candle.
what i always do is after the candle doesnt burn anymore i put it inside the freezer for about 20mins, that way i can get whats left of the wax with a knife... (really, putting the candle in the freezer makes it a looot easier) i try to accumulate as much wax i can from different candles.. and once i have enough (like a full quarter ziploc bag) i put that wax on another burn out candle jar and melt that wax in what is called a ''double boil'' or ''bain marie''.. i add some new wicks that i bought on amazon and TADAAAA, u have a new candle!!! I always do that because there is a lot of wax waste on those bath and body works candles! hope it helps! its a fun DIY project!
hey Kathleen! what you can do with the candles is put the entire container in a pot filled with water turned on, on the stove. the wax will melt and then you can transfer it to a smaller container and it will take the shape of that container! hope this helps ❤️
KathleenLights I can't tell you how much you have inspired me. You always dare to be different and are so dedicated to making videos. You anxiety video helped me so much and I have watched lots of your videos and they make me so happy. Please keep being yourself and doing what your doing :)
You know when you burn a new bath and body works candle there is room at the top because the wicks are long? I like to go in with a lighter with my old candle and melt all of the leftover wax and pour it into the new candle. Wasting good wax is a crime!
Hey girl! I know this sounds a bit odd, BUT take your candle and put it in a pot on the stove. Fill the pot with water so the candle kind of bobbs around in it and turn the burner on low. This will melt the candle and smell SO GOOD!!! If you want, go to the craft store, buy some candle wicks and a glass container, place your wick in the new glass, and put the melted wax in it and voila! You can also make your own scents with your other old candles and layer them once it solidifies! Hope this helps ♥
I was going to suggest the tart warmers/wax melter things, too. Always love seeing what nail polishes people actually use up! Off to look for both of those!!
I just bought the maybelline gel liner and I'm loving it. My nyx feel liner pot dried up quick and I love how smooth the maybelline one is. Thanks Kathleen!
re-purposing candles is SO easy once you know how. I love it. All's I do is cut out the wicks (so the wax will still look pretty instead of charcoal-y) and melt the wax in a double boiler. You'll need to buy a new wick, but they are pretty cheap and you can find them at any craft store. Place the wick in the middle of whatever container you are using between two sticks (skewers, Popsicle sticks, ect.) so it stays up right. Poor the wax into your container and let it cool. Boddabang Boddaboom you have a minny bliss burner.
You are beyond my fav. RUclipsr!!!! I never look fwd to 20 minute videos, but I do when it comes to you!!! You're the only person that gets interesting by the minute. Lol love you ! & I'm obsessed with your Chanel!!!
You're such a great personality. I came across your channel a few days ago and I'm so hooked! You're one of my very fave beauty gurus. You're you and it's a great thing because not a lot of people are them when it comes to making videos. You've really inspired me. I've always wanted to make videos such as yours but I always thought I couldn't because products I use aren't really up there. But watching your videos and seeing products you use and everything has really just inspired me. You're such a wonderful person and just yeah, lol. xoxox
I'm not about to sort through all 1000+ comments to see if someone told you this or not. lol But! When you burn the 3 wick candles, burn for no more than about 4 hours at a time, and keep the wicks trimmed to about 1/4 of an inch. They'll suit (soot?) less and the glass won't get all black. Beyond that, you're friggin' adorable and I love your videos. XD
Honestly, I would've loved if you would've made this video longer! I really like your review videos because you go in-depth and are descriptive in ways that other reviewers just aren't. I get a real feel for a product from you, and I love your reviews. Thanks Kat!
doesn't matter how long it is, if you say important stuff & helpful , you are one of my favorite youtuber . Always I get so happy when you post anothr video :D xo
Love your videos Kathleen! I'm super excited that you tried and loved WEN!! I've been using WEN for about 7 years now exclusively, shampoo rarely ever touches my hair and it's so much healthier now. I've seen WEN at Sephora but I get mine from QVC. It's amazing, I highly recommend that you keep using it! Keep the great videos coming!
I have a candle warmer pad from hobby lobby! You never run out of the candle, no fire hazard, smells stronger, and you can reheat any amount of wax for centuries!!!!!! Definitely check it out! I love mine!!!!! And btw you are amazing! You are my favorite RUclips
you crack me up Kathleen! I am still saving my crap for this kind of video. Like you I forget and throw stuff away! lol! Love Your videos so fun to watch!
You can buy a candle warmer for your BBW candles. They sell them at Michaels for like $5. It's basically a warming surface you can put candles on that melt the wax and diffuse the scent. It can make candles last longer too. Then when it's melted you can pour out the wax easily and use it for your brushes!
I always watch your videos all the way through, I absolutely love you and your videos so much! I love how you give a thorough review of the products you use, its so helpful for people looking to try out new products.
Instead of burning your candles I recommend using a beverage/candle warmer. They make candles last way longer, they won't leave black smoke marks and every drop of wax can be used. Hope you give it a try! :)
YES! Buy a wax warmer and put it in there, it fills up your home with awesomeness. I think it disperses the scent more than a lit candle does. And I don't know the point of spending more money and extra effort on getting the scentsy brand, but I buy mine at Walmart, target, and even michaels and they work great!
This is my first time watching this video and as usual I loved it!! It don't matter how long your videos are I could watch you for hours! You, Tati, CoffebreakwithDani, Nicole from young wild and polished, and a few more are my top favorites for sure!!! I watch for your videos everyday!
Youre so awesome! I love watching you you always make me so happy! Also youre SOO helpful with like finding really good make up. I was watching a ton of your videos before I went shopping for some new make up and all the things you reccomended were AMAZING. Youre so great.
And you're hilarious! I get the same way when I drink coffee - I'm a teacher and my students think I'm a nut because I speed talk once I'm about half way through my coffee. I love this video because there were so many unique products I haven't heard about everywhere else on RUclips! Thanks so much! :) HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, Danny, and your puppies!! xoxo
Are you going to do a makeup collection video? I would love to see that! What about your favorite products of 2014?! You're one of my faves and have been following you for a bit now! So amazing how successful you've become girl!
Hi Kathleen!! I have just the thing for burning the last bit of candle wax. I bought an electric tart warmer and started putting the last bit of wax from the candles in it. It works awesome and I don't have to feel like I'm wasting anymore.
I don't know if you'll see this or even if care to read it but when the candle jars get so low they won't burn anymore, I like to put them on my stovetop (not a burner) after I have cooked so while it's still hot it'll release the fragrance, sort of like a cover up
Oh girl your eyebrows are looking so nice! Little tip, if you blow the candles out before you put the lid on everything won't get all black (: Love you and your channel!
YAASSS finally someone mentions the Maybelline illegal length mascara. it's been my holy grail for a couple of years now! It compares to a Lancome that i use. I freaggin love. it. I purchase it all the time.
ANSWER TO CANDLE QUESTION! I always had the same problem! So I bought a night light wax burner like the sensies candles!! I dig out the wax and place it on the wax holder!
Girl, you need a candle warmer! It's perfect for using up the last little bit of your candles. I got mine from Michaels. You can get them anywhere really. Love them!!! And you are awesome by the way.
This was a very helpful video! Love you girl and I hope you have a happy new year. Try buying a candle warmer from hallmark to use the last part of the candle, it works amazinggg.
Hey Kathleen! About the candles and your question; I have seen other youtubers set up a double boiler (fill one pot with some water and then they place their almost used up candle in it to melt the wax inside) once the wax has been completely melted they then take a silicone ice cube tray and pour the left overs in it and let it cool. Because the silicone is so soft it will allow you to get the newly formed wax cubes out easily :) from there you just pop the cubes into those wax heater things lol Hope this helps & PS thank you for all the great videos
Kathleen! I used to hate Essie nail polishes aswell, but then I got the Orly Bonder rubberized basecoat, and they literally last a week on me now! I have bought so many Essie polishes since discovering that basecoat. Try it out if you can get Orly where you are xx
"Its more than 20 minutes long, isnt it?" Lmao youre so funny and i love it. I also love it when you unknowingly throw some spanish into what youre saying, you stick to your roots and its great. I recently came across your channel and now i realize that I've needed your videos in my life, theyre amazing.
Use a candle warmer (I use a beverage warmer cuz it's the same thing and cheaper) when candles get low. They still give off scent, since they are melted (no fire) you can remove the wicks, when it gets real low they are easy to wipe out and reuse for brushes or whatever you want!
Hey, guys!! This video was recoded a couple of weeks ago, and I never put it up! I'm still under the weather but thank you for all the get well comment!! Love you guys!!!!
Im sorry ur sick, feel better soon

U can take the wax and put it over to a new candle that's the same scent and when u burn the new candle.. It'll just melt together
Walmart has a warmer for like 5 bucks it melts your whole candle in minutes. It looks like a coffee warmer
literally kathleen saying "through" is my favourite sound in the world ever
Thanks guys!! You guys are awesome!!! I will buy a wax burner for my left over wax! Xoxo
A coffee warmer works well too (:
Just buy a wick and pore the wax in to a smaller container and put the wick in the middle set it aside wait for it to get hard again and then u can just burn them now

1. two inches of water in a pot, place glass container on medium heat.
2. melt, remove wick bases
3. pour melted wax to the top your next candle.
Life saver
what i always do is after the candle doesnt burn anymore i put it inside the freezer for about 20mins, that way i can get whats left of the wax with a knife... (really, putting the candle in the freezer makes it a looot easier)
i try to accumulate as much wax i can from different candles.. and once i have enough (like a full quarter ziploc bag) i put that wax on another burn out candle jar and melt that wax in what is called a ''double boil'' or ''bain marie''.. i add some new wicks that i bought on amazon and TADAAAA, u have a new candle!!!
I always do that because there is a lot of wax waste on those bath and body works candles!
hope it helps! its a fun DIY project!
"This is the elf... That was the elf eyelid primer." LOLL I died laughing at that part and idk why. Lerv yuuu.
hey Kathleen! what you can do with the candles is put the entire container in a pot filled with water turned on, on the stove. the wax will melt and then you can transfer it to a smaller container and it will take the shape of that container! hope this helps ❤️
The longer the video, the better
Oh Kathleen. Even if your videos were 5 hours long I would still sit here & watch the whole thing! Can't get enough of ya!
I loveeeeeeeeee you Kathleen! You are my favourite :)
Thanks for being here!!!! Xoxo
KathleenLights I can't tell you how much you have inspired me. You always dare to be different and are so dedicated to making videos. You anxiety video helped me so much and I have watched lots of your videos and they make me so happy. Please keep being yourself and doing what your doing :)
Don't worry how long it videos are ! I love it ,you're the only beauty guru I would watch for so long literally!
You know when you burn a new bath and body works candle there is room at the top because the wicks are long? I like to go in with a lighter with my old candle and melt all of the leftover wax and pour it into the new candle. Wasting good wax is a crime!
I do that all the time too! Why not that compared to buying a wax burner
If I had a dollar for every time Kathleen said the words holy grail XD
Lucia Tepper i could buy everything she talks about
I was going to suggest the tart warmers/wax melter things, too.
Always love seeing what nail polishes people actually use up! Off to look for both of those!!
lol i hate perfumes that are expensive but lasts only 5 min, and i hate it even more when i love the smell = daisy dream
+Miji Park It's a toilette, isn't it? Not a parfum?
I just bought the maybelline gel liner and I'm loving it. My nyx feel liner pot dried up quick and I love how smooth the maybelline one is. Thanks Kathleen!
I hate Theyre Real but I lovvvve juuu!!
re-purposing candles is SO easy once you know how.
I guess that 'Wen' hair line is getting sued because peoples hair is falling out from it.
I love your lipstick !! Would love to see a video on best purple makeup ! lipsticks, shadows etc .
have a fabulous new year !! xxx
You're such a wonderful person and just yeah, lol. xoxox
Can I just say that I love the fact that you upload so many videos? You're quickly becoming my favorite beauty vlogger :)
OMG CONGRATULATIONS ON 1 MILLION HOLY SHIT WOW YOU DESERVE IT SO MUCH I LOVE YOU KATHLEEN
I am incredibly impressed with your consistency in finishing your products!!!!! i buy stuff, use them halfway and give it away. 😲😲
I watch for your videos everyday!
i'm so happy that you've been so consistent with your uploads lately, I always look forward to watching your videos :)
:) HAPPY NEW YEAR to you, Danny, and your puppies!! xoxo
Whoa, so many empties! You cleared out so many mascaras from your collection!
Love the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Mascaras and also the Philosophy Purity Cleanser also! Great Empties Video XO!
A favorite mascara video would be UH-MAZING!
I love the way you do your videos I actually enjoy your fast talking lol you're honestly my fave
Girl, your videos can be over 30 minutes if you want! I started watching your channel about a month ago and I am obsessed! You're hilarious!
I literally watch like each of your videos 3 times.. Your accent just.. Ugh, I can't even explain how much I love it😍😍😍
I love discovering new RUclips channels! I've been watching your videos all evening since I got home from work 4 hours ago!!! :D xx
Hands down one of the best youtubers🙌🙌 I love your videos and your makeup tutorials are unreal👌 always so consistent with uploads too I love it
This was a very helpful video!
That St. Ives Green Tea scrub is LIFE.
Get a tart warmer/burner and use the leftover wax in it. You will love it!
You can also boil some water, pour it in the jar half way and let it sit! its amazing! I also use them for my makeup brushes! KathleenLights
