You are AMAZING! I bought this serger my senior year of high school and tried to teach myself with the manual how to thread and sew with a serger. Let me just say there were a lot of tears because it didn't always work. 8 years later I am finally ready to try again and with your entire 45 video sequence I feel VERY confident this time. :D

I recently purchased my Serger and took a couple of lessons at the Viking Sewing Center and learned some basics on threading, but this You Tube video really explains it all. Thanks Sara!

I got my S-21 just about a year ago, and I never had a class at the viking store. I have been lost for so long on how to do so many things. I kept cutting into my projects that were on curves and such. I was told I should not let up on the presser foot, cause that was the issue. After watching all your video's , I see now that was the wrong advice. I thank you so much. I know can Serge on curves and more.

I have NO idea what I was doing wrong. After spending HOURS watching the Viking threading videos in my exasperation I thought You tube. I watched this video and went along with you the only thing I was doing different was the manual states on page 31 circle 4 to turn hand wheel toward you after threading to being stitch chain. I have never threading and begun to sew on to fabric. It works. I have never been happy with this serger/overlocker maybe your videos are going to change my mind.

Just a beginner. In my book it has a Tip: Your new machine is threaded to sew a standard overlock. tie your own threads to these threads and carefully pull them through the machine, to easily thread your new overlock machine the first time.
Which does work quite well but what do you do when you get to the needle? There is a piece of material that is under the needles that has been engaged in sewing on the material?? Thank you

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I was beginning to think I'd never get the lower looper rethreaded after the thread broke. You showed me the trick.

If the loops are a little loose around the edge does that mean the tension needs to go up?

The hand in front of the camera makes it hard to see what is happening.

I cannot tell from this video where the needles go for the overclock. Are they in the back 2 slots or the front where there are 3 slots? She is a fast talker. I had to keep stopping and rewinding to catch everything and yet I missed the needle location.

One more thing do you have a video on how to use the table and the pin? If you do I may have missed that video.

Great video, but you talk REALLY fast. It would be great if you could slow down a little.
