Twin high performance racing V8s pushing those boats is the best sound a gearhead like me ever heard. I grew up visiting Pamilco River in NC at my uncle's place. Reggie Fountain stayed a few miles up river and the Fountain boats were constantly blasting out to the sound headed to the outer banks. But occasionally I got to hear the race boats out on shakedown runs or testing. Audio porn! ....sweet!
It is truly awesome to see it live out on the water. One of my buddies got to be on the turn two boat when the buoy got knocked out, and the boat they were on became the "new buoy" for turn two...he was describing those boats coming at them at 130 mph and turning 15 yards off their bow...I could only imagine how awesome that must have been!
Would have been nice to actually see a race and winner. Boats going fast…so?
It was on TV...on RUclips, Facebook...and a ton of other outlets filmed from helicopters and land. Plenty of options for you to watch the whole thing in detail if you chose to. I shoot a quick highlight video of the race and provide it to our viewers for free and this is the comment you make? Geez....
