X-COM: Enemy Within - Annette VS MEC Squad - Who's Packing A Pistol?

I made this video years ago and well now I've decided to get around to uploading it.
Essentially I got a squad of 4 MEC soldiers, one of each special ability and went to go rescue Annette Durand from the dam. This is the ending cutscene.
The main reason I recorded this part was because when Annette runs from your squad, one of your team members shoots at the ground and gets her to stop. Even though the entire team is armed with Particle Cannons, Grenade Launchers and a Falcon Punch Module... somehow someone shoots regular bullets.
It's kinda funny that even if you're armed with Tier 3 weaponry that someone still shoots regular bullets at the ground.

Everytime she says " You can kill them? But how?"
My reaction is always "We tried shooting them and it worked"
And if that doesn't work, shoot some more

I love how one MEC reloads in the middle of Annettes speech, implying that yes, their Particle Cannon fired pistol rounds

@@devinlarson1947 didnt really understood the point of psi soldiers and the biggest reason is that she had 55 aim.

Also if you unblock the AoE nuke spell that Psi soldiers are SUPPOSED to get but was "disabled" in the ini whe the devs changed the required XP to something stupidly high then Psi soldiers become everything they are supposed to be.

The limbs aren't the only thing the MEC surgery replaces

What is the "Others" she was talking about, ended up transforming into the Chosens?
No, the others are the "furies" - three psionically gifted humans aliens captured for experimentation. The chosen are not them. Warlok was created from psionic child (all furies are adults at the time of the invasion), Hunter was created from reaper operative (and unlikely being one of the furies because reapers are distrustfull of all alien, including psionics) and assassin was created from scratch like advent troopers. In case you wandering where i got all this, you can find chosen files in commanders quarters.
That expansion looks neat. Already looking forward to play it. But it would be nice to have the two X-com game connect this way..

Something similar happened in my game where 2 of my heavys approached the vehicle and they bother had laser weapons and I have no idea where they found the bullets or how they fired them.

I had a laser/light plasma squad. One of the rookies must have smuggled a pistol.
Cutscene wise it's meant for regular soldiers but if you wanna stretch it you could say a helicopter was overhead or something
i just a couple days ago had this cutscene and apparently my assault shot at her with an alloy cannon

The game creators showed a lot of care for cutscenes n' such, so it was a little disappointing it's automatically a pistol warning shot.

I failed this mission because on the last turn when it said 1 turn left I had my last unit dash to the lorry and it decided to fail me

How do you get to this mission I have never seen it since started play this game when it came out
It's a DLC thing.
This is the middle mission of 3 council mission. They start with 'Portent', if you fail that one you don't get this one. Note that Portent can happen early in campaign, while the follow up missions are always late game.
