Here's a quick start guide for newbies using Sign Cut Pro 2, time stamps in the description and if you have any questions or get stuck drop a comment and I'll (try) to help.
Having an issue with the blade cutting through the vinyl from its current position to the new starting positing therefore ruining the vinyl before it’s even begun cutting. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong?
Go in to the 'cut out page' of sign cut pro 2 its the last icon at the bottom of the left hand side tools and have a look at 'position after cutting' it will be either set to 'end after job' or 'go back to beginning' whatever you are set to now try the other one 👍 Dan
HEY MY CUTTER is going over the design 3 times and the passes is only on 1. I believe its something with the wireframes or something but i dont understand and i dont know how to remove the layers. COuld you give any advice? your video has been the most helpful. The other ones suck because they dont talk or thoroughly explain.
Oh no! Sounds like an emergency! Hmmm are you designing in Inkscape? Have you accidentally duplicated the design directly on top of itself? It would still look like only one but export multiple cut lines, that’s all I can think of straight away. Let me know, Dan
what file formats you can import to it from what softwares maybe a good clip too. specially since signcut does not have text. either way good help here for starters.
Hi @edmondopowell! Thanks for the question, it's a good one, as I mainly use Inkscape to create stickers I've only ever used .SVG files with it but will open .AI (illustrator), .EPS (Encapsulated Post Script, Adobe based format) .DXF (AutoCAD file) and Sign Cut have their own format .SCD, hope this is useful! Dan
@petrolvectors ya so many programs now it's mad how they all work differently, a rip software for a printer I use kept missing after installed couldn't figure out what it was. Turned out windows version was to sensitive for it. Do you think doe with affinity designer now and coral you could use them instead of illustrator or do you think you still need illustrator with coral. Coral I think is the best for vehicles by far
