Unlike the previous Silex-A version that would just deliver a torpedo, the soviets decided to put a warhead and a heat seeker inside the cruise missile that carries the torpedo, so now it not only drops the torpedo in the water, but it'll also use the heat seeker to attack surface ships afterwards. The red tip of the missile is the heat seeker. So The Rastrub is practically an anti-ship cruise missile that will also bring a torpedo into the fight as an extra 'fuck you'.

@@thecommunistparty1917 nah, it's the other way around. It's more realistic than 90% of the modern naval warfare mobile games out there. If you think WTM is bad, you haven't seen Modern Warship or Warship Mobile 2 :V (the top warship game for mobile).
I think you set the damage control teams to manual on the Kerch which once they were done repairing the thing you told them to they didn’t repair anything else so the fires took the ship by the looks of it.
Are you planning on more videos about SEA POWER? You did good! Please be careful with planes and in "weapons free" mode though. You don't need to shorten your SEA POWER videos ;)
I've heard some call this Command: Modern Operations(C:MO) Lite...but without the almost near vertical learning curve. The 3d models look FANTASTIC! Really looking forward to 11/12/24!!!
I'll admit, this definitely would've not been how I approach this situation, but you did end up achieving the mission objective (so I guess all's well that ends well -1 Kerch Cruiser). Soviets place great emphasis on a mass alpha strike to immediately overwhelm the enemy, and you can drop sonar buoys from your helo which can help ID ships from their power plants and propeller types from the noise they emit.

Welcome to the genre with MY home field advantage back in early 2000's with Janes/SCS Fleet Command. Hopefully towards the end of the game's development, multiplayer gets implemented. That way will see who's really get the talent to be good at modern naval warfare strategy. Fighting against the AI is easy, fighting against other players nearly as good as you, is a whole different level of difficulty.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I have seen a good deal of fleet command, But never played it. Multiplayer would cement this as a serious contender for a top e-sport title. You're right, AI can never really cut the mustard without giving them advantages in some way.
Unfortunately without true human factors and very, very detailed and complex simulation of systems you will always loose to people who treat it as a game and not a sim, the type of player who is seeing the game as a collection of values and break points to be exploited, who pulls the game apart to look at what weapons do what and how they work, which then forms a 'meta' and enables (near) perfect play since you can have a complete and full understanding of all the systems in play. I suspect that a game like this, when played perfectly, would come down to micromanagement and actions per minute, much like other RTS games do which decouples it quite a lot from pure 'strategy', you are likely to be battling over who can input the most commands in the shortest time in the most precise way
Looking forward to sea power, hoping Australia will be involved. Unsure what or if any roll Australia had in cold war gone hot. Would love to see some campaignss too.

it remember me a very similar simulator i have played years ago, but on that you could only see from the map, i spent hours to learn the procedure to hit an enemy ship. anyway i know it's impossible but i hope that one day this style of combat will be on warthunder, i'm sure it would attract a lot of players, as it happened when they added the first ships with missiles
Back in the days there was a game called Harpoon I think thats what you mean. Later there was Jane's Fleet Command wich has already 3D like this one. Today there is a game called Command: Modern Operations, this has mostly only the map to play with.
