Shaye, I loved every photo you had in the shop before. I've always hoped you'd do a small coffee table book or something with all of them so I wouldn't have to choose. Love all the new changes and organization inspiration!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that idea!! 📖 Jamie Beck’s Provence books are such a pleasure to flip through, and I could see Shaye’s photos creating a similar immersive experience. 🤍
So sorry about the art shop being hacked!! 🙁 I wondered whatever happened to that. Please bring back the homemaker series. My family gave me the peeling potatoes one for Christmas one year and I’d love to order the scrubbing the floor one to go with it. It’s a beautiful reminder to me of the value of a wife and mom, faithfully serving her family and guests by homemaking. Every little task becomes worship when it’s done unto the Lord with gladness.
@@theelliotthomestead Some time ago I was finally in the position to order your prints and found that they were no longer there, but replaced with what looked like pictures from your travels. Please, please bring back your flour and good prints Shaye. 😊
I'm sort of the black sheep in my family as I absolutely LOVE doing things like loading the dishwasher (especially on holidays when there are a plethora of extra dishes), weeding/tending to the garden (granted, we have nothing like the scale of yours), and generally organizing things. I LOVE bringing order to chaos! This video was lovely as always and so satisfying to watch! Thank you for sharing it! Blessings to you and yours! ☺
We are renovating our home and I have thought of you and your home probably dozens of times. The beauty you curate is such an inspiration to me. I keep reminding myself that your home is where it’s at because of the years you’ve put into it, gradually shaping it more and more into what you want it to be. Helps when I’m feeling that the projects on the bottom of the to-do list are so far away. It’s a process-thanks for sharing that with us!
Oh yes. It has taken years of work and sometimes rework to get things where they are. And it’s still not done. We have lots of work ahead. But every piece has a story and reminds me of a particular season of our life. I love how you said renovating your home instead of house. The home is so much more to me than just the material. I wish you the best in your renovating adventures!
Thank you for sharing, and for filling us in on the art shop. I was perplexed when I looked for it online and couldn’t find it! 😉 Excited to see what you have in the works!
Absolutely! It’s a piece of what I do that I really love and I was so bummed when we had to take it down. But I’m really excited for what’s ahead with the store.
This is heaven sent! Thank you for sharing your process and the struggle of making it functional but beautiful in a tight space and with a tight budget. This is much appreciated!
Mad props for painting the ceiling eith those curtains still up! I love the bright yellow color. And the shelves turned out great. My husband works from home and currently his office has our workout equipment in it along with our pantry shelves and all of my canning equipment while we work on finishing out our root cellar. Great ideas for organization. Thanks for sharing!
So excited for your online store! I bet it does so well you grow out of that little room fast! We just moved ours off the farm to a commercial space this year :)
Love your videos so much, only problem I wish they were longer. You guys made beautiful and practical spaces and you are self sufficient I love your life style. I would love to see a home-tour soon because like you said a home is a place were you live and use constantly and imperfections is where the beauty is. Thanks again guys, love love your place!
Shaye! I know you say (via the podcast) that you’re not really a decorator or that you’re not an expert in decorating. But man do you undersell yourself! Your home is one of my absolute favorites to look at. It could be featured in a Ros Byam Shaw book❤
I always do the functional to the spaces and then add the pretty and beautiful. I bought wooden shelves and brackets like yours when a friend was closing her shop. They were a very good buy and have been up for over 10 years and counting. Painting them made mine pretty too. In one room I covered them with with cloth. Useful things can be beautiful. I love the color of the room!
I have just loved loved loved being a part of your community Shaye!! I have watched you and your family for years ❤ love all that you share and I LOVED seeing how your home and property have transformed over the years. It is all so beautiful and so inspiring 😊 Thank you for bringing such beauty and light to this space 😘 Love from the south 🍑
Excited for your new art shop - are you planning to still sell prints from your original art store? I really wanted a particular floral print and was never able to get a response to my inquiries. I would still love to order one. I loves that version of your art, It reminded me of paintings from the Masters.
I’m excited too. I would certainly consider doing a special order print of one of the original photos from the old shop. Stay in touch and we can figure something out.
@@theelliotthomestead Will do. I am actually one of your "neighbors": If you look down across Meadow Lake I live in the green house surrounded by trees in the middle of the big brown field where the orchard used to be. Love your channel BTW!
I wondered what happened to the art store! I was looking at things one day and then came back and couldn't not find it anywhere! Then I just kind of forgot about it. I loved your prints!
We are having a yard sale in a couple months It is boxes full of item's starting in the 1960's till now. We are moving to a different state. So, it is a good thing you are doing what you are doing. I wish I had done that. Love your video's.
@@kinseyaltman it is indeed. It was our solution to not having much room and not being set up for running into the gym to workout. I want to garden for many years so I thought I need to take seriously physically taking care of my body. I love using it.
Very carefully and with an old wet washcloth to clean up all the splatters. But we did have a drop cloth over some things though you might not see it in the video.
Shaye, you have a shapely butt! 😅 And we are doing similar fix up projects in between the school year too. I patched and painted our very beat up hallway this past week. Love finishing those things.
I appreciate so much the way you play intentionally yet whimsically with your spaces.
Salud!

Usually one paints the ceiling first with the room empty to avoid getting paint on stuff
Yes. We do things a little different here on the Elliott homestead.

Such a lovely couple !!! You both are awesome examples for those babies … and now you have your own mini barrista too 🎉

Love this video! I would wrecked every furniture and curtain in that office with trying to paint the ceiling. Good job stewart!
I appreciate you tackling this on camera and being real. 😊 such good ideas. Where did you find that black sticky bulletin board?
I actually found it on Amazon. Just search for large black cork-board or felt board. The company is Uoisaiko.
Anytime one of your videos pops up, I gauge how old it is based on the status and location of your coffee station,
Haha! It’s one of those developing things on the homestead.
New or other curtains would be nice!
Will the older photos be available? I had my eye on a few for my kitchen. ❤

Where did you relocate the master bedroom?❤?
We renovated our daylight basement for our master bedroom.

Puzzled… why paint before clearing out. Especially, with curtains hanging?
Stu had the same question. We did move the curtains eventually but the honest response is that I can be a little impatient.
@@theelliotthomestead honesty! The best answer! I get that, I often feel the same. Lol
