She's beautiful! I saw the updated character models for the old characters in the PAX East demonstration, but the new characters are so expressive and interesting while taking design guidelines from the original game!
I always wished that Tim would release all the home recorded footage from the development of Psychonauts 1. I'd love to see the journies everybody took during the development process.
I'm a critic of details and i immediately loved her ear. I noticed the dark inside with the spiral. That's unique and I love small details like that on games that separate them from the norm and make it stand out but not look out of place
The 2018 release date was way too optimistic for a game as big as Psychonauts 2, so I never really expected it to come out so early. I'm just glad they care enough about the game to not release it early and have it be garbage.
The great thing about Psychonauts is it’s timeless style. The original game still to this day looks absolutely fantastic. You guys really perfected that world. Can’t wait to play Psychonauts 2!

This update is also pretty serendipitous, I've been replaying Psychonauts 1 on my fancy new (old) original Xbox and have just been pouring over the vault memories, and its cool to see the rest of Raz's family fleshed out. I'm still impressed at how effective a series of static, monochrome images were at detailing that world.
I was a little ticked off when i found out that the game may not be ready by 2018 but then I realized, this isn't some annual title cranked out by some corporate conglomerate that's just trying to make a quick buck! This is a lovingly crafted work of art! Take as long as you need guys!

It looks fantastic. It's like an HD version of the original. I was ready for a possibly different direction but this is better than anything I imagined. You now have the technology to go wild with the art style. I can't wait to see where you go from here.
Seeing all these videos made me finally go back and finish the first Psychonauts. It's so much fun and the characters and world are so lovingly detailed. I cannot wait to get the sequel! (When it's good and ready, of course. Wouldn't want a "Psychonauts 2077" situation.)

I love these updates but I really miss the 2PP-videos. They have this amazing mellow/nostalgic feel to them that I adore. Would love to see more of them.
The original game was my childhood, I has a house fire and lost everything. I originally had it on the XBOX but rebought the game for ps2 its the only game I go back to, bringing me back to a simple time. I wish they could duplicate doublefine and make a stealth adventure based on Frazie becoming a psychonaut. While Raz plays therapist and helps fix minds, Frazie plays spy in enemy bases, grabbing intel and sabotaging things

I remember when that character design document from 2001 got leaked in a steam update. It had a bunch of details of Raz's family and how their gripes with the Galachios started from a forbidden romance between the two families. Also how Sasha met Milla and Ford's long history of earning almost every doctorate possible, as well as the politics back and Psychonauts HQ. It's crazy to think this universe has existed for almost 20 years. I wonder how much is still canon and how much has already been changed for the new game.
You know what would be a cool idea? It would be cool If you could take us into the mind of a BLIND person. Would you see the sky in SOUND? Light? Black? Letters?
I’m curious about the possibility of a Switch Port, especially with the newly-confirmed delay. Mario Odyssey has confirmed the Switch is the perfect platforming console for me! Statue looks great! I wish I could see more of a visible presence of the writing process, specifically with Erik Wolpaw’s collaboration! Here’s hoping for a future update :)
Take your time guys. While I didn't back the game, I intend to buy it day 1 (unless you announce a delayed Switch release, in which case, I'll buy it then). The first game felt like a platformer made by an team of point and click adventure game designers. Hopefully this will have a similar feel.
