How so
Rapmonster really said it. During the press con. It's because it's a mixed of EDM and he said that it's new beginning for BTS to use EDM in their music.
You can find it on youtube. Search for the DNA Presscon which was subbed by Army Unnie. Although the whole video was not completely subbed because she has to go to work.
The mv surpassed my expectations. I'm amazed, couldn't keep my eyes off of it.

my thoughts of this MV was mixed. I really like the song and the MV but its not really what i was expecting.
I love how you're both fanboying in your own way lol, half of it is Danny going oooOOOOoooohhHhh and the other half is David cutely singing along and stanning Jimin haha
bts always experiment, every album is different. you might not like the genre every time but their songs are always good quality.

Everybody had high expectations about this comeback/album. I never would had thought i wouldn't like a BTS song, but i guess I'm just used to their old style and not EDM. I can only hope and pray that this song/album is public friendly in korea. And that they receive alot of love for the album. ❤

But we Armys can listen to their non-title tracks which are good.
But DNA grew on me after a day i like it more.
Hun, change is the only constant thing in this world. Why don't we just support our boys? It's ironic how we crave for something new and when they gave it to us, we're not satisfied.
So far from several reaction of DNA MV I have saw, this is the *best one*.

At first I don't really like listen DNA song because it's totally different from the previous BTS song and beyond my expectation. I need to adjust for 3-5 times to enjoyed it and start like it. *It's really totally different* from BTS song.

Ahh I totally agree with the guy without the cap (sorry, don't know your name) that this song, whilst great, doesn't beat the classics for me, and is definitely a lot more experimental in terms of style and sound. But I like that they're trying something new whilst still keeping in line with very much who they are. Having said that, this song just might be my favourite off the album, but who knows, that could change after listening to it a few more times. Thanks for the reaction - always a pleasure watching and hearing your thoughts. *thumbs up*
Update: having listened to the album a few more times, I can honestly say that whilst DNA grows on you, tracks like mic drop and pied piper are in my opinion, a lot more superior - they're definitely my kinda jams!

I didn't know that a lot of armys didn't really like the song but that was my first comeback as an army so the song really shocked me even though I noticed the difference between the old songs (not old though) but in my opinion this song is really cool and fresh it's good that they tried new style actually because they will not really know that much in music if they don't try many genres ! Anyways the album was lit "pied piper" was my favorite I really love it ! So yeah that was my thought about the whole thing, but FACE YOURSELF was so good.
And the fact that they're preparing for the next comeback gets me really excited because I will spend it with k-diamonds and I-lovelies. ❤️

They even reference the Army memes about physics symbols when army/BTS are listening to another language... like the whole thing is legit about BTS+Army sharing this special connection. The nice thing is that to the rest of the world who don't know this type of thing, it could just be about a girl. They know that Army will look deeper at the meaning and created it in a way that it could be interpretted differently by Army.
Then all of the dance moves showing them linking their DNA together while talking about achieving their dream it being our destiny together just further deepens my view on this. Because BTS share the DNA between them in the dance and offer their hand out to us in the dance move.

Always look forward to your guys' reactions! I would agree that this is a new sound for BTS which will appeal to some and less to others. I personally found that I didn't love it first listen, but it grew on me after a few more times.

Exactly, this it's very different from their usual songs. Bts it's trying to change so please keep supporting them. People won't like it now but until we get used to this new era for BTS, trust me, you'll love them even more. Same thing happened with Justin bieber, I didn't like his new songs when he started changing his old music. I was a belieber since 2009 and he started changing his way of doing music in 2015. I missed his old songs and so did most of the fandom. A lot of beliebers left the fandom bc his music was different than before but i didn't. I left the fandom when he took a hiatus and i met BTS in that moment but i still support bieber and love him. Just can't call myself a belieber.
What I'm trying to say it's: Justin changed the way of doing music, some didn't like it bc it was new and they were so used to the old beats like me but at the end he gained more fame and look where he is now.
Actually the boys said at the press conference today that DNA is about them and how they are not related by blood but they were destined to be together, that they still share the same DNA (or something along those lines). I'm truly excited to see this live, thank you for always supporting them~

everyone has a diferent taste. For example: I didn't like Spring Day. But it was a pretty good song too. It just didn't meet my expectations (back then) but i still loved Spring Day bc even if it wasn't what i was waiting for (something like Dope or I need U) it was a pretty good song with meaningful lyrics. After listening to Spring Day many times it grew on me. I was addicted to it. And even to this day, it's my favorite.
