The era where I became an Atiny!!!!! Absolutely love these guys… had the opportunity of going to their concert and it’s a whole different experience, so happy that they performed all my favorite songs! My ULT bias is Mingi, and live performer it’s definitely Hongjoong, he’s the captain for a reason! I’m enjoying this deep dives, it’s really awesome seeing someone appreciate and actually taking their time and learning everything about a group as detailed as you have been!

Absolutely agree with you on Horizon. I heard the song first and was honestly very meh on it but then the choreo and seeing the performance and dance practice compeletly changed my thoughts on it. It's now a song I love.

It talks about how they started in the desert (in Morocco) with their debut MVs Pirates King and Treasure that were made using free sets and talent (lyrics: The desert with nothing. We started there. Hot, Hot, Remember that time). Also, how they made it where they are through their burning passion and treating every performance like it is their last (lyrics: everyday is a finale show). And now it is time to celebrate both with each other and with us because they are making it and aren’t afraid of failing anymore. Several song names/album series are named in the lyrics: Wave, Say My Name, Fever(both a track and Album Series), The World More lore stuff - Blue butterflies: You see are a recurring theme in Ateez MVs. We recently learned they are actually drones used by the Black Pirates (the good guys that Halateez are a part of that are fighting against the oppressive government using guerrilla tactics to ‘wake up’ the people of World Z aka Strictland) Android Guardians: The guy in white at the beginning and the end of the MV is an Android Guardian. They are the enforcers in World Z that are following and trying to catch Halateez and get the Cromer back (Hourglass that is actually an artifact that allows them to travel through time and space.)
What Hongjoong did when you said is he kind of searching through the map, is just him wrote ATEEZ. At the beginning of Treasure he wrote ATEEZ in the air, and at the end of Precious he wrote ATEEZ again but on the floor. Even the formation of them at the beginning and the end of Treasure + Precious are the same, but they make it backward at the end. Like in Treasure, Seonghwa and Jongho "open" Hongjong's eyes but in the end of Precious, they close his eyes. Also the shutter camera sounds actually a hand clapper toys thing (? idk the name 😂). Because the concert was in cov**d era, so the regulation at that time is artists still can do a concert but the fans should wear a mask and can't scream or talking or making too much noise (to prevent transmission). That's why they use that clapper toy thing 😂

We got to my favorite ateez title track, I dont know if any other title track will beat this for me its my first comeback with them and it's the song I always get so excited for even if I've listened to it multiple time back to back LOL, and ofcourse theres the kingdom version with La Poem which is a whole other stunning experience, it was my favorite performance on kingdom
I'm so excited to see you get into some of their personality content, too. They're definitely sweet and connected to each other, but you gotta remember that being connected to each other as 18-20 year old guys and moving forward from there comes with a lot of chaos, so don't go into it expecting all sugar and gumdrops. 😅😂
That good/evil intro for the Answer comeback stage still gives me goosebumps - it's probably my favourite intro of theirs. And Answer is in my top five Ateez songs to date. This is such a strong album though, I love everything on it. The campfire version of Star 1117 shows how naturally talented they are, just putting out that raw live performance like it's nothing. So beautiful. I love how you picked up on Wooyoung's face as Jongho was belting. There's quite a few clips like that - he's so proud of his little bro. Can't wait until you get into the variety stuff and get to see their dynamic as a whole group or in smaller units, they are so funny and lovable.
I totally agree that m countdown stage was fantastic, and yeah top to bottom this is a super strong album like 100% of them are bangers. I've seen Wooyoung do that a couple of times now and it just warms the heart every time lol and I'm looking forward to checking out some weekly idol / Idol Room, I've missed that show in general and I'm curious to see what Ateez's dynamic is on that show lol

I think that's what got me so deep into kpop, they genuinely care about the fans and include them for their career...both the good times and bad they want us there it feels like. Western artists don't feel as sincere with their gratitude and right now sincerity just makes music feel deeper and mire meaningful now. I don’t know if someone already mentioned it but the behind the scenes you watched for Star 1117 is from their fever road series. I haven’t watched it personally because I fell down the ateez rabbit hole way too fast. But as a side note 11/17 is atiny day.
I’m guessing that it’s a show that came out during the Fever section of the storyline, which is neat thanks! I did know about Atiny day from the guide, it’s super sweet!
ATEEZ has diaries, where they have the history of the world A, Z, about the halateez and so on. If I'm not mistaken, there is a website that made some available... Maybe it can be good for ones who want to fit more in lore

I'm really enjoying following your ATEEZ deep dive. I stopped now after Precious just to mention an interesting fact. You mentioned the shutters of ATINYs taking pictures. Actually, that wasn't what that was. We were not allowed to take pictures at that concert. That was the first concert after COVID, and the restrictions were still super heavy in Korea. What you hear during that concert are castanets that the fans received to cheer because we were not allowed to scream or sing. Also, about Start 1117: I'm so happy you watched the fireside video. 🙂 Makes me appreciate your reactions even more because you are truly interested in getting to know them. About Precious + Treasure: Neither are the full song in that performance. Still very much worth watching, of course. But just pointing out. 🙂 The second live performance of Precious you watched was the full song. ;-) Hongjoong at the end of Precious: he is writing ATEEZ on the floor. curiously, he writes ATEEZ in the air at the beginning of Treasure.
