    Hi Carl. Lovely to see your trains running as usual. I have the GWR Pannier loco too. Mine came with a smoke generator. I have an old Flying Scotsman with the chuff chuff sound, a brilliant idea back then. Enjoy your weekend.

      Hi Andrew, thankyou for watching. I have a couple of other loco,s with smoke generators, but I,v disconnected them. I have four loco,s with the chuff chuff sound, I did a video on them a while back. Thankyou as always Andrew. All the best butty. Carl.

      Hi Ruggedrails, thankyou so much for watching. The X04 motor really was something, a really old motor, still running and loads of parts still available. All the best. Carl.

      @@carlgauntletttrains3026 which is great because we need the spares after all the running I’m sure like me you rarely run any particular loco more than an 1 hr each time you are running trains

    Hi Carl, the X03/4 motors have stood the test of time well and truly. It will be interesting to see if the modern can and brushless motors have the same longevity. The only problem with the X04 down here is obtaining new brushes. They are dead easy to rewind though.

    • @carlgauntletttrains3026
      @carlgauntletttrains3026  26 дней назад +1

      Hi Steven, I don,t think a lot of the new loco,s will last that long let alone the motors. Everythings to complicated today. The loco,s have so much detail, you can,t see it when they,r going round your layout. But they do look nice and theres a few I would like to have. You can get the brushes quite easy here on Ebay. All the best butty. Carl.
