Another great tip Will. As we age we become aware of reduction in stength but less aware of reduced range of limb mobility , which I have found to be as at least as important and something that needs to be continually worked on.

I had a Stroke two year's ago that affected my left side, l have found your series of exercises to greatly improve my walking, and can now walk without a stick! Thank you so much.
A form of this stretch is done by ballet dancers before pointe class. Now, I feel oh so young again!

thank you will ,,,as far as I know ,we don't have this service in Australia,,I have greatly benefited from your videos, I have severe arthritis in L2 L3 L4 ,,and a bulging disc ,I'm able to move more freely now ,all due to your exercises,,thank you for choosing this profession so desperately needed ,, blessing from accross the pond in aus ,,

Drop foot is becoming an issue for me, and searching for tips to strengthen/ stretch this area was how I arrived at your channel.

I try most of your exercises and stretches several times and find them helpful. I am a fit 82 year play 18 hole golf and need to walk around 5 1/2 miles per round. Thank you very much

Just read a 2024 study about how physical inactivity causes exercise resistance of fat metabolism-
Meaning if u start a new exercise routine like I did ( 4-5 x per week) but are relatively immobile the rest of the day, it’s going to be hard to lose fat.
With arthritic knees, I really need to get rid of some excess weight. I will keep up my strength training but need to increase my steps to 8-10K per day to maximize fat loss.
All of that to say, I truly appreciate all of your videos & especially the ones that help make walking easier. Lots of gratitude from a loyal follower!

I DO have pain in the front of my right leg, on the center right. I did this stretch and the bottom of my foot hurt.

Just tried this and I really felt the stretch on my left side, especially, which is where I have some really bad achilles tendonitis due to PSA. I think that whole side has tightened up due to favouring the ankle.

As others here have said, I've never heard of this stretch before, and wow, we're these areas tight. I'm not sure what it will do for my walk, but it certainly felt great afterwards.

Thank you very much for showing these exercises that I can certainly do. I am old, but have practiced ballet barre exercises and yoga since I was a teenager so I don't have any of the usual problems seniors very often have. Of course, that said, doesn't mean I don't have problems arising from sitting on the floor. Very awkward!

After too long a drive and went down the steps backwards to the basement restaurant railings on either side, didn't my Charlie Horse return, right over my knee, how awful and it's calmed itself, stairs were made by the 😈, good luck, keep at it, failures not an option but fear 😱 of stairs is a great excuse for being able to stay home, highly recommended!❤🎉😊!

Yeah like fireman's pose in yoga. I truly battle with it as I have quite a hit of osteoarthritis especially in my big toe. I can see how much I need it though

Thanks this was great. My issue is when I start walking, my hips, thighs, and buttocks tighten up. It makes walking unbearable. Do have a video for stretching those areas ?

My Gait isn't the best, it's called Myopathy Gait, where I walk like a penguin or you could call it Trendelenburg Gait . Side to side.
The exercises I been doing , hasn't helped the problem. My guess it , caused by my Hip (weak ).
I had an Xray and they call it Synovial chondroma Osis and I have Severe osteoarthritic changes of the right hip .
One of these 2 are the cause of it .
I've had a total hip replacement and I'm in a lot of pain my Doctor sent me for MRI and all seems OK I have spinal stenosis and doctors say that's where my pain is coming from, I have extreme groin pain which burns a lot I find it very difficult to walk I am at a loss, I take morphine for the pain know the morphine is not working as well as it used to, I would be very grateful for your advice, thank you.

Hello Will, good morning from Sydney! I’m 52 in 3 months and have returned to walking for a month now. But I’m unable to continue daily bec my right big toe is giving me that discomfort. I did this stretch exercise and I felt a slight pain or discomfort on top of my toe. Is that normal? I felt it on both big toes though. Thank you for sharing your expertise and new subbie here!
