    Enjoyed this! I ended up getting the rack version for the additional cards with its expansion slot. I only wish the micro had at least one card slot and the rack version, mini, and full size had 2. I hope this is something they can incorporate for upgraded versions.

    Mellotron was a copied design of the Chamberlin which American Harry Chamberlin first conceived of the idea in the late 1940s. Facts are important.

    Wonderfull job, very pleasant and very interesting to demonstrate how to make a loop. However, is the Mellotron you're using a M4000D...since it looks exactly as mine which is a Mellotron digital micro..

    History is written by the winners I guess: Harry Chamberlin invented this really, and then a salesman stole one, and sold the "prototype he invented" to the British engineers that remodeled it as the Mellotron.

    Love this man! I also make loops and stuff and love those organic sounds from it.
    Im contemplating getting a mellotron (undecided between the micro or mini for the more keys), but how are u feeling about it now some months later?

    • @Wavvvy
      @Wavvvy  3 года назад +1

      Hey man! Appreciate you! I personally love the micro because I can put it in my bag and I love being able to pull up to the studio with those sounds. I've pretty much used the mellotron on every sample I've made - I would absolutely highly recommend either. But if you move around maybe consider the micro - if not go for the mini!! I'm also a pianist and found that the limitation of keys the micro gave me made me push myself for more interesting harmonic voicing's and movement.

      @@Wavvvy thanks for ur response! Sounds very interesting! Sometimes limitations are good, but i think the extra octave will be nice as I won’t be traveling with it. I love the pitch knob on it, to transition in pitch between keys. I saw Kenny beats use it that way and it was so inspiring
      Do you feel like the 100 preset sounds are limiting or do you maybe learn to appreciate them even more with no preset expansion possible?

    Hello,
    How do you connect the Mellotron to your PC ?

    • @Wavvvy
      @Wavvvy  3 года назад

      Hey :), i record the audio in to my computer via a instrument cable going in to an audio interface. The mellotron then can also be connected via USB / MIDI for midi / control purposes.

    Hi there.
    I’m curious…
    I’m trying to record multiple tracks and sounds like you do it in your clip.
    I’m using my mellotron m4000d & cubase 12 pro.
    Connection midi - roland um-one
    Output - mayaa44ex
    I just can’t work it out.
    Whát am I doing wrong?
    .
    Can’t find a device script either.
    Can you give me some tips?
    Thanx!
