Doesn't look right though. Everything becomes way too bright, ruining the grit of the original... The shallow depth of field make it look like everything is a miniature and the reflection doesn't discriminate, creating mirror like reflection in surfaces that should be completely rough.

I mean RTX is a really interesting tech but why do people suddendly think making everything reflective makes it look more realistic. I mean when homeboy is walking around with 50 polygons in real time light ray tracing and in 120 fps in 4k it's like real life but when the whole atmosphere of the game is build around the character and all the little details that made the game so believeble in 2000 but is lacking bloom and lens flare then it's quiet. Fucking should have wore some Jordans
I've said it with other "remasters" and I'll say it again, slapping 4k textures on low poly models is not going to make them look better, there should be some remodeling and then it would be pretty much perfect

О, это так давно было. Могу предположить, что из-за директх 8 нужен dx 8 to 9 wrapper. А вот что я помню совершенно точно, так это то, что при вызове панели решейда переставала работать мышка. И мне пришлось искать, как управлять решейдом с помощью клавиатуры. Сложно, но можно.

I believe the original is better because it has that dark gritty atmosphere into it that makes it special and it doesn't need to be fixed.

The effects are great but it all needs to be a bit darkend and less saturated to maintain the gritty vibe of the original.

Honestly, if you remove the the DOF, use some curves to drop the saturation and brightness and add some AO, this would look amazing.
