I was actually able to survive a Mei with McCree because she kinda did something dumb. She froze me, took a bit too long to say "hi", I punched her since she was low health. And yes, I bagged the shit out of her.
This feels like more than "one tip for every hero", more like "as many tips as we can comfortably cram into this video for each hero."
Which I'm cool with.
yea this was brought up when we were filming and he said that these are now just tip videos not necessarily 1 tip because each hero is so complex more than 1 tip is a good idea and the 1 tip vs every hero sounds a lot cooler so he kept the title, not to mention more tips = more content :)

@@magnus8704 they're also both ridiculously OP. The only difference is for pyro you have to quickly accept your death, and for Mei you get to painfully watch it happen. You're also really lucky Mei doesn't have mobility. Pyro can fly now. Imagine death hurling to you at full speed. That's what a jet pack pyro is like.

General tip: Use the "I hope you learnt your lesson" voice line after every kill

General tip: When freezing an enemy, there is a color animation when it has been completely frozen. Keep watching for this animation in order to save ammo and to maximize your time available to make headshots.
We all know there's only one true Mei tip: just don't forget to perform your routine sacrifices to the lords of the Nine Hells, then you can just sit back and they'll do the rest.
Everyone who doesn't play mei: *Starts panicking*
Most important tip:
Have a spidey sense to ice block and save yourself from abilities like hook or shatter.
There are audio cues for both, and you know that hog is gonna hook the second he has line of sight.

This is really useful, since I only recently got back into overwatch and I'm not as familiar with the newer heroes like brig, doom, and Baptiste. I had no idea you could block line of sight with the lamp, it's a huge help
There are two hero specific things and a general adivce that I feel like can be useful sometimes.
1. If a bob is shooting at you and you can't wall him off (for whatever reason) using your shift will not make him switch targets. Instead he will continue to shoot your ice block allowing your team to either kill him or fight off the enemy team.
2. Not as useful against high coordinated teams but when baptiste uses his ultimate I like to place my wall right behind it so they can't shoot trough. Higher ranks will of course just melt your wall down but up to diamond-master I pretty consistently had people just give up on the baptiste ult and go around the wall.
general advice: For the love of god talk to your team and coordinate your ice walls. They have to potential to either win a teamfight or ruin it depending which teams ultimate you block.
most high elo mei’s just put the wall on the window, not behind.
@@shawnBuildsAI yeah I know thats technicaly the best option but I rather put it slightly behind the ult. Just so I don't have the risk of accidentaly putting it a little to much in the front so they melt my wall trough the baptist ult. It's just a little saver that way.

Well to be fair a lot of these 1v1 situations for a lot of these characters will almost never happen anyway. I see these tips as more of a "how to play against *insert character* as *tip hero*"

Her nerfs, or rework (arguably) is long overdue imo.
After her being must pick in owl its bound to happen. I just hope she gets harsh nerfs that make her niche again. Only reason she have decent pickrate is that she is so busted people are forced into playing her if enemy team have a mei
I honestly would just heavily nerf the damage of the icicle ,Buff her health up a bit and voila, mini-tank. Of course, that would require playing her on ways that are actually helpful your team like in this video.

I have one thing to add in the Mei 1v1. You can use her wall to block LOS of the other Mei to prevent her from using wall, similar to the Orisa Halt tip. This'll help you get past chokes that she is really good in.

She has potential to counter them but many there are many heroes who have the advantage against her. I think she is alot more powerful lower rank because people usually don't have the skill to win against her.

Thats exactly it. Only hero that requires effort for her to kill is Pharah and even then she can do it good due to her secondary fire having stupid hitbox and damage.

7:04 If you start getting frozen first you can use your Ice block to cool down the frozen effect and heal the damage, then quickly build an Ice wall on your feet building a high advantage. If the other Mei was not quick enough to aim at you up there you can freeze her first! Or at least you can walk behind the wall to wait for your cooldowns to recharge.

Except you can't fight her with all the other heroes. Only a few heroes aren't completely shut down by mei, and even those heroes don't really counter mei, they just survive her better.
Mario Vlaovic She’s just a better Mccree with more health, constant CC, better ult, better abilities but with a worse fire rate a hit box. It sucks how she’s the hardest hero to counter and does most DPS’s jobs better

Mei’s my current DMG main with Sym as a backup (I’m more a supporter than a hard hitter, so I like to set traps or make it easier for allies to get a kill thanks to my freeze). I’ll need to study this video to increase my personal skills as Mei and be the best cuddly demon my team can have!

Also in mei 1v1 if you use your ice block and the enemy mei reloads, u can cancel it and they will probably do their ice block cause u caught them off guard, then u can do the tip and freeze them
This is actually very helpful seeming as Mei will always be a top tier dps character due to her freezing abilities and her walls.
Don’t give them tips. Let them die off and fall down the rank system

BY far the most important tip for Mei players: Uninstall the game.
I know he's literally one of the best players in the world and a Mei specialist, but it's still so impressive to me how well he can time his icicles into freezing someone. They die so quickly. Makes me wanna pick up my old main again.
Against echo: if she throws sticky bombs against mei, mei becomes cryo freezed, if you see echo focusing beaming you wait until you can get out of cryo freeze, and make sure she spended her flight ability

10/10 update! Really hope Sombra is next. Her old guide was made before her hack disabled passives, and before infinite invis/translocator.
A fun death match trick for mei against Lucios, stand 4 feet from a death edge and wait for him to come towards you. Ice block before he boops so he becomes really interested in getting an easy kill. Quickly 180, come out of ice block and immediately put a horizontal wall on the edge. The lucio will boop you right into your wall and you can easily freeze and kill him for free. Don’t forget to teabag or emote right after to celebrate your master baiting combo.
general tip: don’t play mei, it degrades game quality for every player
