She loves this song, mainly due to the fact that it reminds her of her youth, the best time of her life, additionally how different life was during that period. It is a song she cherishes profoundly. My grandma is my everything and I can merely transpose into words how much she means to me. This song will always remind me of her❤

Néhány évvel ezelőtt , mikor még szeretett öcsém egészséges volt.... vagy már érezte, hogy itt a vég... de nem akart senkit sem elszomorítani, ERŐVEL akarta, hogy együtt hallgassuk meg ezt a dalt. Akkor még nem sejtettem, hogy ez talán egy könyörgés a nővéréhez. Mert igen, én a testvére vagyok és leszek is mindörökké! In ginocchio da te è una bellissima e indimenticabile canzone che rispecchia l'epoca degli anni sessanta dove si viveva in un'Italia che non aveva ancora conosciuto tutti i cambiamenti che ci sono stati in seguito e che in un certo senso hanno cambiato un pò le preferenze musicali delle persone. Ci sono canzoni come My way o Strangers in the night che anche se questo mondo con gli anni è cambiato rimangono sempre al livello mondiale intoccabili anche se i gusti delle nuove generazioni sono cambiati.

Provengo dalla generazione z e conosco questa canzone da piccolissima, mia nonna mi ha sempre cantato questa canzone raccontandomi che da ragazzina viveva a Milano e che un ragazzo le faceva la corte proprio inginocchiandosi e cantando la canzone. Lei però lo rifiutò dato che da lì a breve avrebbe dovuto trasferirsi in Sicilia e ad oggi (dopo aver trascorso più di 50 anni) le è solo rimasto un ricordo del volto non associato al nome.
