Nice interview ,I wonder if there music teacher was referring to "The Warning Band" out of Mexico 3 sisters 21-19-16 just signed last year to Lava/Republic records after independently releasing 1-EP and 2 albums via Patron and Kick starter already recorded 3rd album (1st of 5) for Lava but renewed Covid restrictions have forced them to cut album in half and they will release an EP titled "Mayday" 10/8/21.

I've never actually liked skillet my dad told me to listen to them after i got in to metal, and i was like why? So i just stuck with TDWP and AILD, all my friends also wanted me to listen to them but skillet will never actually be metal in my eyes just hard rock
What constitutes as a certain genre changes almost every few years. Skillet is definitely a heavy metal band. They’ve been heavy metal for years, and just because the checklist has changed, doesn’t mean they aren’t heavy metal now. It doesn’t really matter anyway...it’s their message that’s most importantly
They literally talk about it at every single concert, it's all over their website, and everyone who knows anything about them knows this. They're not allowed to just talk about their band for a bit for Christ's sake?
