    I'm sure the Edinburgh town planners just threw some spaghetti at a wall and called it a road map. This place is like an ant farm with traffic lights, no wonder there's so many accidents. I'm so glad I managed to get my test switched to Livingston but this video is still very helpful, thanks!

    My driving test came down this way I turned right at Tesco I was sat at the filter for 3 or 4 changes of the light the censor wasn't picking up the car I had to basically creep into the the yellow hatched area before it changed the filter light so glad the examiner helped me am glad he was already aware of the fault at the lights as I had to go through the red 😦

      I know exactly where you are talking about 👍. The lights seem to be very sensitive. The last thing you need on the day of your driving test. Haha. Gald the examiner helped you and it didn't throw you. Thanks for commenting.

    I took my test today in Currie and did some of this route. Just came here to let others know that at 5:15, i went under the bridge and then had to merge left. Unfortunately i messed this up, so hopefully I’ll pass next time

      Thanks for the comment Thomas, sorry to hear it didn’t go well today. I’m sure others will go and check out the section of road you are talking about. Hopefully you can get another test booked soon. Good luck with the next one.

    Hi Angus,
    Could i please ask you one question?
    At 4.03 you said the bus lane comes to an end and the lane forward is only for buses, taxis and cycles.
    Im practicing on Glasgow road but there is no sign like that there?
    Can you please explain me with this situation.
    Thanks

      Hi great question, the sign has now fallen down/ been taken away. So at the moment the driving examiner will have to tell you to move lanes. So they will tell you to move out. Hope that puts your mind at ease.

    3.49 can someone explain to me where the sign is which says the next bus lane only to be used by buses taxi and motors all the time.
    I Can not see it, I watched the video 3 times.
    I am so nervous

      The sign was just after the Volvo car garage. It’s been taken down recently though. Hopefully an examiner will tell you to move if you haven’t. If you can remember though, move around the Volvo car garage and pay attention to the lanes ahead 👍🏼.

    Hello Angus, please can I drive on bus lane on Saturday since I am having my test on a that day. And again your video is helpful will pass on the goodness once I pass the test

    • @AngusDriving
      @AngusDriving  3 года назад +1

      Hi yeah that’s correct the bus lanes are not in action on a Saturday so you will drive in them unless you have a reason ahead not to. Such as you are turning right, overtaking something or if there was an obstruction in them. There is one bus lane that is always in action so you must not drive in it. This is beside the big Sainsbury’s ruclips.net/video/DOjtSDwbNRc/видео.html it’s talked about in this video. Good luck with the test.

    Oh my word I put so much time, money, and courage into overcoming my fear of driving... only to unexpectedly encounter the insanity that is Edinburgh bypass roundabouts and set myself back several steps! Thank you so much for talking through how they work. Provided you can see the markings, that is - I don't see any indication they've been reapplied since this video was made!

      You are spot on Rachel, some of the road markings are terrible and it is very difficult to follow them at points. Glad you are finding the videos helpful. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.

    Okay so my driving instructor tells me I am not allowed to cross to the right from the bus lane when it has a solid white line? I watch a lot of your videos and you do it all the time, I’ve been told this is an automatic fail ?

    • @hollywalker6484
      @hollywalker6484 2 года назад +1

      It's only a solid don't cross when the bus lane is in operation! So if it is outside the bus lane hours you just use it as your normal driving position and can cross. :)

    • @AngusDriving
      @AngusDriving  2 года назад

      Great question, as Holly said, the solid line only applies when the bus lane is in action. So if I am crossing it during the video it is because you treat it as a normal lane at the time it was filmed.
