My now husband proposed in front of the Castle back in 2019🤩 and this November we’re going back to take our baby for the first time, I’m so exited!!😍😍 hence me watching all DFB videos possible to get ready hahahhaha
Please do a best Mac and Cheese in Disney Vid!
We’re from the Detroit area! We usually go up to Holly for the Renaissance Festival there - love Hollygrove!
AJ! Loved the Detroit shoutout! I’m not from Michigan, but live just across the river from Detroit in Windsor, Ontario, Canada! We love Detroit!
As a past CM, they teach us about the poop river in traditions so... yes, it's real and it's true to the theme.
32:09 A Pirates Adventure is great for many reasons. Its fun, the maps are free souvenirs and it's a perfect way to stay in the magic, but not be part of the crazy rush to be everywhere at once.
We last went 3 years ago and my son has declared that the thing he's most looking forward to when we go back is Pirates Adventure 🙃
I'm also from Michigan and fly out of Detroit when visiting Disney!
Shout out from the Flint area (Swartz Creek to be exact)! Been to Holly many times.
No way!!! My parents grew up in Detroit, grandparents lived in Flint, and I'm originally from Bad Axe in the Thumb!!! Go Blue!! :D Well, now I have another ride I absolutely have to visit when I go on my honeymoon next year. ;)
I enjoyed the custom popcorn last month - delish! 10/10 recommend 😋
Shout out from Michigan! I’m originally from Royal Oak, but relocated to the west side of the state several years ago. However I still spend a lot of time in Metro Detroit and I have several friends up around Flint and Holly!
I was not aware that the carousel came from Detroit. Awesome to hear that your dad is from Holly. I grew up in Bay City & am still a resident of the Great Mitten State
Hi DFB team! After all the wonderful planning help I’ve absorbed from this channel I definitely feel like I owe it to buy one of the DFB guides. I’ve been holding off until closer to our trip (Sep 2023) so that I get the most updated version possible, I think I’ve heard in a past video that you update them twice a year? Thought I would ask if I should wait for this years update to purchase or if all 2023 versions are automatically included?
I grew up in Orlando, so I’ve been more times than I can count, but I’m planning to take my husband (a big Disney fan) to the parks for his birthday. It’ll be his first time and I think I’m more excited than anyone lol. But I moved to texas like 11 years ago, so a lot has changed, and you guys do a great job keeping me up to date with all of these new things I didn’t even know existed! Thanks for doing what y’all are doing 😊
From the Mitten state here! Southwest part of it though. I can’t wait for my September trip. It’ll have been more than a decade since my first/only visit, and my husband has never been!
My mom’s a Flint native! Grandparents retired about 20+ years ago and moved to Cadillac, MI. Very familiar with the east side of the state though!
AJ, I hope you are planning to do videos like this for the other parks as well. Love learning more about Disney.
Thanks for sharing your brilliant tips and information with us, AJ. Your videos are always so interesting and cool 😊
Mitten State! Woot woot! Americas high five! Shout out from Grand Rapids!!
woo hoo, these are fun!
happy monday, y’all! 🎩🥂🖤
We did the adventure land tip yesterday. My kids loved it. We did 2 maps.
I moved to the mitten state 8 years ago and love it! Thanks so much for all of your videos! I find them very interesting and helpful.
My daughters all time favorite thing in all of Disney is the carousel of progress. It was closed the one day we had at MK last fall. She was so disappointed. We will be there again in 2 weeks. Fingers crossed it's not down
Please, please do a video on the pet kennel. Please and thank you!❤️🙏🏻🐶🥰
this is so helpful! thanks much aj and dfb team. i wish i was going back soon. 😄
I adore the Carousel of Progress
A few things not mentioned here.
1) the Liberty Tree has 13 lanterns hanging from it, each representing one of the original 13 colonies.
2) also in Liberty Square, if you look up on the buildings around the windows, you will notice some of the shutters tilted crooked instead of hanging straight up and down. The reason is a historical one. Back during the Revolutionary War, the British would stop a lot of the supplies from reaching their destinations. These supplies included weapons and ammo. Because of this, the colonists had to find other ways to supply themselves, and making ammo was one way they accomplished this. They would use any extra metal they could get, including taking the hinges off the shutters to melt the metal to make ammo. They replaced the hinges with leather straps, and because the weather would cause wear and tear to the leather, they would stretch out, making the shutters droop down.
4) you mentioned the grandmother in carousel of progress, but the dog has an interesting story as well. The dog was made to look like Walt Disney’s childhood dog in real life. And the same dog can be found in several other things, including the dog who holds the key to the prison cell on Pirates of the Caribbean, sitting on a porch of a house in the Living with the land attraction, and he is also a part of the Disney railroad attraction as well.
u always have the best videos you're the best!
Originally from the Detroit are here, but reside near Traverse City now. Have a ton of family down in Genesee County though.
AHHH I LOVE THIS CHANNELL!!!
Very nice your news today ! Heloisa
Speaking of Carousel of Progress, (forgive me if you've heard this before), at one point the speaker mentions "brothers from North Carolina" in connection with the invention of the airplane. The Wright Brothers were NOT from North Carolina!! (That was just where their first flight took place.) Where WERE they from?!
Ohio!!! =)
AJ, do you think they'll finally bring back our beloved peanut butter pie at Contempo Café now that that banana version abomination is gone?! 😆
We can only hope! I need that peanut butter mound back! At least the banana is out of the equation
@@DFBGuide AMEN to that!!
Great news, it's back...and no mention of banana! 😁
The rock formations make the hidden mickey on my birthday
Can't wait to go for the Halloween show in Oct. I went to the 50th anniversary last year and it was no big deal.
Hello from Flint, MI!
Michigander here. Love the mitten state!
My biggest complaint with magic kingdom is getting in and out of the park. The boat/monorail entrance take forever. And if you go at rope drop or stay till close getting in and out is a long wait. Especially at night when the park closes. In fact the few times i stay till close there i just take a seat and wait almost an hour somewhere.
Use the resort monorail. Lines are shorter and only adds 1 extra stop when leaving. Old annual pass holder trick.
I was just listening to my daughter complain about that. She wanted to go to a park just for the evening. Her husband said they shouldn't go to mk because of how long it takes to get in and out. It is frustrating. I remember waiting for a bus or a tram when the kids were little. Ugh
Keep in mind that this was done purposefully to create an “experience” out of getting to the park. At Disneyland, the park is right off a main road and it doesn’t feel special at all. MK truly makes you feel like you’re leaving the real world (and your car) behind to visit somewhere magical!
I live in the Mitten!! Lol :) 40:37
Greeting from West Michigan, the other side of the state!
Port Huron, Michigan !!
Hi dfb, I contacted CRT for more info on the proposal package and they replied “Due to the implementation of new and improved health and safety guidelines we are no longer offering our Glass Slipper Engagement Package.”
Just letting you know. I was trying to get info for my son in case he was interested in proposing to his gf. 😁
I’m from Battle Creek, MI! aka Cereal City 😋
Hey can you guys do a dvc guide please?
Do you know if cast member pin trading is back?
I'm from the Philadelphia area and I'm quite familiar with the Philadelphia Toboggan Company
From grand rapids Michigan !!! :)
Can you apply affinity discounts to purchases with mobile purchases?
Hey AJ! What do you mean by private event? What are the where’s, why’s, and how’s of a private event IN the park?!
Companies, or even weddings or other groups, can buy out the park for private events. It's EXPENSIVE so it doesn't happen too often. Sometimes Disney will also host private events for Cast Members or other groups, but you'd need to be in those groups to know or be invited.
The last time we went to liberty tree we used the restrooms inside then restaurant upstairs. It was so gross. There was mold growing around the sink area. It was foul. I’ve seen cleaner truck stop gas station bathrooms
I do wish they’d keep Merida. She’s my daughter’s favourite and she’s so upset that she can’t meet Merida when we go in August. She’s been waiting years… 😢
We will be there in August. Having splash mountain closed in the hot Orlando summer sucks! I don’t think Tron is filling that void either.
PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME: is Royal Table back with all the princesses?????
do they still have buffalow popcorn
Going to guess that the Disney World hatbox ghost will be introduced around the time. The new haunted mansion movie comes out.
I've seen every video. My brain is mush!
We're from the Flint area.
That's kinda funny holly mi is just around the corner we live in grand Blanc
i have the same birthday as minnie and mickey!
Im very early to this video!
I heard that the people mover is closed :((((
Yeah.. I don't see Tink from this 😄
where is the tinkerbell.
There is a famous difference between Haunted Mansion at Disney World and the same(?) ride at Disneyland! Do you know what it is? 🤔
Hint: It is completely possible to ride both and not even notice....
no one is the worlds number 1 encanto fan
I am sorry but Mirabel should not get a meet and greet over Bruno.
John 3:16
King James Version
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Unpopular opinion: They should remove Starbucks from the parks
There werent public restrooms in Colonial times? So Disney doesn't mind people peeing in the alleyway? You know, there weren't giant headed cartoon mascots in Colonial times, either...
So excited for June1 I saw the new pride merch 🏳️🌈
Ugh…please stop using old video with people wearing Covid masks.
Makes the videos look dated
You don’t know that it’s old video.. I still see plenty of people wearing masks everywhere I go even though they’re obviously not required anymore..
