If you have been watching these monkeys and konthea for years you wouldn't make this comment! There are good VO's and also bad VO's , some of the VO's filming in the Temple and in the park in Ankgor Wat are really not all that bad those monkey owners st home are the worst criminals and monkey murderers they work hand in hand with the poachers, konthea has been bringing fruits and vegetables to all these monkeys for many years, so don't you worry about the baby monkey being snatched, she's not like the owner of monkey jessie and paquil...That monkey thief targeted and murdered Michael's mom th'en stole Michael, and lied that Michael was abandoned by his mom! What was she doing in the forest where Michael was, born !

I have mentioned before the possibility of domesticating a breed of monkey to use for human companionship. They have never been domesticated simply because there was never a need but they absolutely Scientifically can be.

This is Cambodia, I believe even the wild monkies get food from tourists. Also, in Africa the vervet monkeys in the massive VMF forest sanctuary get fed fruits and vegetables daily besides getting their own food in the forest. Don't know why, but they do...
The difference is tourists don't feed them. Also they are taught to forage. Do you see Ros, Kunthea or Kosol doing any of this? No... because they do it for financial gain. They don't give a crap about these monkeys.

As for tourists, oh yes many do feed them. If you'd watch the videos , you'd have seem the people at the parking lot who definitely feed the monkeys.

Even though the ones here are former pets they are wild. Yes tourists feed all the monkeys around some of the temples. They are not fed in areas that aren't tourist areas. There are truly wild populations in Cambodia that do not rely on people for food. VMF is a sanctuary with small fenced in areas. Because they can't travel far to forage they are supplemented with fruits and vegies. Plus it keeps the foster moms coming up by the feeding cages so the orphans can get milk. They do forage quite a bit in their enclosures but it doesn't give them the variety they would normally have.
