I really appreciate this vid, especially with so much chatter out there about which styles of jeans are "in" or "out". Realistically, denim is classic and it's all about what works with your body type and style preference. I don't think any of these classic styles should ever be considered "out" when there's always going to be someone out there who looks best in that style.
Love this! I wore straight leg jeans forever and got to where I hated them. As simple as it sounds, I really didn't know why. But when I started wearing mid-rise, flare type they just fit soooo much better. And YES to the dark denim. I have a pair of Liz Claiborne jeans that I refuse to let go of. They look good, feel good and will stand the test of time. I wear them with clogs, boots, flats - everything and they still look great. As usual - thanks again for an awesome video :).
@@AnnieParkerConfidential it really is. I recently bought a pair of True Religion flares with a sorta light & dark splotchy look (they’re not as bad as they sound 🤣) I’m looking forward to wearing them.

Love your style and clothing choices. Anyway you can address short waisted women. The normal body types never address this issue as there are specific clothes I cannot wear but would love to see options for the short waisted women.
Thank you Trish! Are you petite? (5"4 or under). I'm 5"2 - which means short waisted for standard sized clothing as well... What styles do you love, but feel you cannot wear - it'll help me to zero in on helpful suggestions ;-)
Thanks for responding. Pleasant supreme. I am now petite (must have lost some height). Am starting to look at more petite sizes, but still have issue with any waist fitted dress. Always seem to be pulling dress down to get to waist. Now looking at drop waist.
Great question Melinda. The easiest way is to take your measurements for bust, waist, hip (at fullest part). If your bust & hips are the same, and waist is 8” or more smaller - you’re an hourglass. If hips are more than bust - you’re probably a pear. That being said, since it sounds like you could be either, to the casual observer, you can probably get away with both pear AND hourglass styles. 🥰 Try jean styles from both - see which you immediately love the 2nd you put them on. 💕
Thank you, you are so generous. I am so grateful for your help. ❤ My husband and I are going to New York City for Christmas this year can you please do luxuary for the winter so i can be prepared? Thank you so much. ❤❤❤❤
@@Melindashelley2017 ooooo!!!!! I'm doing the 'happy clap' for you - nyc at Christmas is hands down - my personal absolute favorite. Yes - I can absolutely do winter-luxury outfits. That's my jam ;-)
Sure - Petite is any woman 5'4" or under - regardless of size/weight. So, a 5'3" plus-size lady is considered petite because of her height. That's a general guideline - as there are certainly petite women with longer arms or legs for whom petite clothing doesn't work. They'll usually find that standard sizing works better on their body.
I love wide leg, flair, and boot cut on my inverted body type in a high rise. But does the wash matter? I like light wash but have dark and medium wash too.
Good question! If you have an inverted body shape (wider shoulders, narrow hips) light wash actually works really well on you, as it helps to balance (I have the same body shape).
@AnnieParkerConfidential I'm obsessed with buying jeans from different places. I learned that stretch matters I didn't check at first and my levi 315s have 30% stretch the audacity!!
Always a pleasure to see your video, love your insights, thanks for sharing
Thank you!

I COMPLETELY agree. Denim in one form or another will always 'be'. So it's just about wearing what looks best on our particular body ;-)

Aww thank you my beautiful southern belle 🥰. Once you identify the styles that work best on your body - jean buying is fun again 🥰😉

thank you!
I hate buying jeans but at least now I know where to start & what to look for.
Narrowing down the styles to ones that work worn your body shape will literally change your shopping experience 🥰

What if I'm not sure what I am. I think I am half pear and hour glass. How does that work?
