IL Y a dans notre folklore une sorte de beauté simple, une racine de vie sauvage qui ne veut pas mourir ...Ç'est comme un feu qui couve sous la neige...!!! Et j'ai une très grande admiration pour mes frères sœurs du métier de musicien qui osent s'afficher et S'affirmer dans cette musique ..
J'avoue que ce n'est pas un musique facile à interpréter, souvent très essoufflante, exigeante par son rythme rigoureux, et qui demande une technique d'une grande maîtrise aux instruments, je dirais presque des qualités de virtuose.! BRAVO les jeunes qui nous redonnez force et courage en osant l'interpréter ! vous nous faites renaître ! MERCI À VOUS!

I am stunned by this young lady's performance.Even if the lyrics in french are magnificient (the King's son coming hunting ducks with his big silver rifle),this song is not easy at all! She sings it and plays the violin perfectly.

There are bilingual French/English schools in Alberta. Her French pronunciation is perfect so maybe she attended one of these schools.

bonjour madame Hoyt. Je voulais déjà vous féliciter d'avoir mis à votre répertoire un chant francophone. Je connais votre éclectisme, mais j'ai énormément de mal à vous suivre quant à la vitesse d'exécution. Peut-être faut il le jouer en "légato" (lié) et non en "staccato"(haché) En tous cas, c'est merveilleux! et je me suis mis comme objectif de le travailler pour mon groupe "Taenn" en amateur. (c'est pas gagné) Si toutefois vous organisiez une master classe, en Alsace, je serai là. Un fiddler alsacien qui n'arrive pas à votre cheville. Quant au " tapeux d'pieds", je suis malheureusement arythmique. Je vais y arriver car on adore ce morceau. Pierre (Alsace France)
