The PS2 era of the Warriors games, DW2-5 was the absolute peak of the series, the modern titles Koei thinks overpowering every character to the Nth degree killing 1000 enemies in under 2 minutes is the way to go, go back to how it was in DW3, AI was aggressive and a challenge, the movesets for all characters didn’t clear a hundred enemies in one attack as they were more linear to attack a single target, you weren’t bombarded with thousands of in-game story dialogue only in Japanese to pause the game and read it in the battle log, go back to the way the PS2 era was, fun, challenging and simplistic, not trying too hard to be fancy and flamboyant with broken characters that kill the feeling of any challenge.
pre modern (2~4) dynasty warrior games are mainly about slowly pushing with your troops, modern ones(6~9) are just boss rush. DW5 fits perfectly in the middle where you can still go straight to the boss, but its extremely risky in doing so and you can still push along with your troops, and i like how some of the levels requires you to defend them for awhile before the main general arrive into the map
Totally agree And morale is very important to advance your army. The officers are useful and you should be aware of helping them and boosting their morale.
Can anybody tell me the version of the game where you can upgrade flaming orb (the traingle attack) of Zhao Yu to become three orbs, upgradable combos and attack I tried almost all of them
My first: DW2 (PS2) My fav(s): DW2 & DW5Empires Last recent I’ve played: DW7 Currently playing all the old ones for nostalgic reasons on Aethersx2. Haven’t pulled all nighters like this since I was a kid.
I honestly never played but me and bf have so much fun. Especially DW5 empires, the custom character i made is hilarious looking. (A girl in a dress with those big shield claws, crawling around the battlefield like she has to take a shit!!)

Curiosamente existe un dynasty Warriors para psx y por eso la saga de PS2 empieza con el segundo bueno menos en Japón ya que ellos dejaron de lado el juego de psx y por eso el dw2 quedó como el primero
no se si le pasa a mas personas pero amí me parecen mucho mejor el 2 y el 3 que todos los demás que hubo después, me parecían mas desafiantes estos últimos son demasiado fáciles para mi gusto.
