That "I like looking at you" blew me away. It's a well written tender scene I'd expect in a drama romance, not a murder puppet show. DHMIS continues to surprise me.

Even the duck Dosent know his history, most of the time there just making stuff up
In the family episode, red guy is so eager to meet his family, because he knows he Dosent really know his friends, he just knows that he’s suppose to be there friends
The only one who actualy seems to have some history behind them is yellow guy, but he’s always turned down or destracted by whatever’s going on in the episode
Duck guy probably just called red guy his best friend because he wanted him to be his best friend, since they needed one for the funeral
And it’s clear duck guy likes red more, because yellow guys not the brightest, and tends to be annoying

In the darkroom scene red says "I dond mind see the house and looking at you" so, if they were in front of each other, they were talking about another thing, another life probally
They are friends, but the problem with gay people is they try to make everything else gay and one of these days it's going to bite them really hard in the ass I mean HARD!!! It's not really even that popular anyway, that is delusional.
@@roeerr1866 I never thought about it like that before- The all seemed to be so close in the web series so I was scratching my head as to why they were all kinda hostile towards each-other in the tv series. I just assumed that the web series wasn’t canon, but that’s clearly not entirely true because we see the calendar changed to June 20th like at the end of the web series. So we are most likely dealing with a hard reset alternate universe.

To everyone in the comments complaining, There only wasn't a romantic staging in the original series because the episodes were 5 minutes long, now they're 20 minutes long, so there's more character interactions, dynamic showcasing, and some potential feelings. I also remember the first DHMIS media I saw aside from the RUclips videos was a reading of a tumblr ask blog that shipped the human version of the notebook and the clock, and nobody was whining back then, even though those characters don't interact. Maybe because the notebook was coded as a woman and the clock was coded as a man. I'm just saying, there has always been shipping in this community. In most fan communities. But people only seem to be upset about it when it's gay. We don't have a record of sexuality or romantic orientations for the characters except maybe Yellow (the love episode he was presented with a woman). Honestly considering how brutal the series gets, I don't think a possible gay couple is what's gonna hurt to look at the most

This is one of those ships that I wouldn’t be disappointed at all if it doesn’t happen because the show doesn’t seem like the type to have a romance plot line at all. Plus RG and Duck’s relationship is perfectly fine as platonic. But I also wouldn’t be opposed at the slim chance of it surprisingly being that kind of show.

God help them, and save them from the actual living nightmare they’re in.
There's even more than this: ofc the family and death episodes are big ones, and the final episode conversation. But even subtle things like the briefcase calling Red a "big guy" and Duck immediately defending him "he's not that big", the "why don't you experiment on each other" with the Bigger Boys. All of this + the creators' approval of this ship in particular just makes it for me.

This friendship just reminds me of my friends discord calls. The chemistry the whole group gives off is just funny. And when we're feeling soft we just let out how we're happy to just hang with each other and appreciate our time.
It really radiated that feeling with red guy saying that to duck. A lot of people might see it as a sign of them being gay or liking each other (as anyone is free to intrepid it as they like), but from personal experience it feels this scene is conveying that you're letting a friend know that despite situation they're in you care about em, even if it seems like you don't show it much.
