    Dude you were on fire. I could tell you were bringing A game. That sucks. Making me want to go back to 40. These limited majors are kicking my butt.

    We have no control of what other people see or do. A potential solution may be picking a squad with different people. But that is still not fully in your control. What is 100% in your control are your actions. For this specific shooting position vs reload scenario did you HAVE TO initiate the reload while your shoulders were still pointed at the side berm and before you exited the position? NOPE. You had several steps of non-shooting movement to the next shooting position and could have delayed your reload until your shoulders were pointing down range as you ran to the next position. You could have also changed your stage plan to engage the Left side targets first, then the right side target second. As a right handed shooter that would have promoted keeping the gun pointed down range even if your shoulders were pointed at the right side berm.
    180 break calls can be subjective at times, especially if an RO has a hard on for DQing people. Once again, we can't control the intent of the RO or others on the squad or what they see or think they saw. All we can do is control what WE do. Your lesson from this experience should be "I need to make all of my gun handling 100% above reproach from a safety perspective so that NOBODY would even think that something unsafe is happening". That only happens when YOU make the proper stage strategy or gun handling decisions that promote safety.

    Did he call you for a 180???? That’s awful. Even if it was close I’d still give the benefit to the shooter. And he wasn’t in any position to call it. He’s not even on the screen. He’d need to be on the lower left corner of the screen to make that call. RO’s can be real a-holes. Luckily in south Florida most are pretty good.

      Yup. He wasn’t even the RO... he was just upset I was beating him. I even ran the same plan on a reshoot because the stage swinger didn’t work. No call on the first run. The five shooters before me ran the same plan. No calls. He’s was just an asshat. Lesson: always know who you are squadding with. ALWAYS.

    That not good man. I’ve had it happen too. Just no one I could slap and get away with it. Good luck👍🏼

    RO needs to be DQ

    That's close but definitely not breaking 180. I would of challenged that. You definitely look competent enough to know where your muzzle is at all times. Just keep on shooting!

      @@justindeus3899 dumb call not even from the ro, a retired CRO standing off on the sideline.

    You were closer to breaking the 180 when you were shooting, not the reload. Not saying you did, just saying if anything he should have called it earlier.

    What was the DQ?

    • @JonCMarino
      @JonCMarino  4 года назад +2

      David McFadyen some asshat on the sidelines. Not even the ro. Claimed I broke the 180 despite running the same course of fire on my reshoot from the stage not working correctly and the 5 shooters before me running the same course of fire. The guy was just an asshat and didn’t like I was beating him so he made a scene.

    Heck, I'm only speculating here but the reshoot run look worse than the DQed run. Maybe the ROs had a powwow after the reshoot run and decided if you run it the same way and reload in the same place, call it. Did the RO behind you call stop? He was the closest but in his position there is no way that call was more than a judgement call. I swear I wish RO would do right and ONLY MAKE CALLS WHEN THEY ARE 100% SURE from the correct vantage point to actually see the gun pass the 180 and not blind from behind or from the opposite side of the range that your barrel is pointed. I can't understand how this concept is so hard to grasp. ROs need to absolutely 100% sure of the call. DO NOT ASSUME OR GUESS AND MAKE THE CALL WITHOUT ACTUALLY SEEING THE OFFENSE. That RO was not in a position to call that from behind you, if he is the RO that said stop, he should have been at your left and been still be 100% sure. The worst part of this game are judgment 180 calls. Plus the shooter can NOT do jack about a bad 180 call, no MD is going to side with a shooter unless you're one of the top TOP super-squad shooters, but that's I different issue. Hang around, shoot enough majors and pay attention and you will see who does and doesn't get these judgement type calls

      Alan Matthews nope he was neither of the RO’s. Just a dude on the sideline that USED to be an RO. A fellow shooter. He was upset I was beating him. The five shooters before me shot the same plan so it wasn’t a powwow. He just did it cause he was being pissy. Asshats exist. Lesson: ALWAYS KNOW WHO YOU ARE SQUADDING WITH. I’d never met this guy before and he was being a dick about me crushing him despite not shooting to my abilities.
