Grim Dawn just had a complete overhaul from the ground up a couples months ago with another expansion coming out in a few months. All 3 together is a W. POE2 beta is in the summer I believe
i honestly still don't understand to this day where the map indicates where im currently at and i have trouble trying to figure out where i need to go if i want to do a specific quest. I also find it extremely annoying how the UI takes up such a large portion screen space when looking at the map. The map is definantly the worst part of this game.
I think one of the biggest "complaints" from me personally so far, is that i feel like the skills/abilities lack "Umpf" to it, not sure how to explain it, but it lacks impact when you do things. Granted i have not played since multiplayer release, things could have changed since then. That has been a talking point on my discord server a few times so far. Besides that, i love the direction last epoch is heading!
Totally agree on the sound stuff.. The Warpath sound is so meh, you don't even feel you hit anything. And then the dying, you can die without even noticing. Needs alot of sound updates. And agree on the rest too :D
it'd be great if the map didnt reset for like 2mins after leaving but i understand theyre a new company and maybe keeping maps you arent on open could be a lot more server cost
I love the wording in the video. What this game is missing is AAA polish. Take a second and think about that. A game made by like 10-15 people all it's needs to be at the top of ARPG
Which is kinda obvious since this game isn't from an AAA studio, but from a few dudes that started this project with a post on reddit, which 99% of people who found out about this game recently doesn't know :D It is fine to say that it'd be great if it looked better, but there's a reason why it doesn't. It's a miracle that the game is as good as it is now and the improvements they've made to the visual aspect are crazy, when i played it in 2019 it looked like a 2010 game made by two people for a school project. With 1.0 graphical improvements, it will look decent. Not D4/PoE 2 level, but not nearly as bad as it did when it was a true eyesore, lol.
i played LE years ago and still way ahead of D4. Diablo has always been a game and has a place in my heart as i am a D2 fan. But my god, D4 has sunken so low. D3 isnt a diablo game in my opinion, but it was fun.

Yea I agree, you aren't really told what time line to go to next.. I will say, the only indicators you get is a question mark in the era tab for if you have a quest in that era. Also if you are trying to find the location of a specific quest you can click on the quest in the quest lists(left side of map) and it will direct you to where the quest is, assuming you are in the right era@@resresres1
@@hellgast0 for starters, better indications which era your character is currently on and where on the map your character currently is at, perhaps a button you can hit to auto take you on the map where your character is at. Also, Better indications for where you need to go for a quest, such as when you hover over a quest on the left bar UI it shows you where it's at on the map. Only show you the available quests per era of the map you are on, instead of all available quests on the left UI quest menu. The quest UI menu and the other UI element on the right need to be made more compact in general, right now they take up way too much space. The era tabs at the top should be made much smaller as well. Actually now that I think about it, are there ANY indications on the map at all to show where your character is at?
Do you realise that a EHG dev was on a stream of a content creator asking questions and taking notes? Like, do you actually realise how rare that is? I can't praise EHG enough.
I will be honest as a MMO andy myself, with no character customization this game is a no go for me. I want to play a male ayocote :(. Big part of my RPG fantasy. No gripe that the game is bad, I will for sure try it out when they add those character customizations.
Honestly they said they had it in their plans so it might be totally possible for it to launch this year they've been working surprisingly fast for such a small company(I feel)
letting lack of character customization stop you from playing an easily top 3 arpg release is wild to me. you're gunna pass on this gem of a game because you cant make your character look the way you want... when in the end... you cover yourself in gear and mtx and are constantly looking at the back of the character's head...???
@@Shadewalkin It's just my opinion the game looks great, I am not a hardcore ARPG guy. I mostly play MMOs but the combat of ARPGs can be fun. I play them for immersion and story too.
@@MoistYoghurt I wouldn't expect it any time soon, the amount of work to update all the in game models to work with new character rigs, animations, and record new voice over is a huge undertaking. It would be cool if they did, but I think they are still focusing on in game systems and polishing the jank out of the game for the time being.
bought the game. instantly refunded when i saw i cannot bind my right click to any function in the game. hope this isn't intended and i get to play on 1.0 edit: to make sure i'm not being gaslit i looked more into it and it turns out you can actually bind functions to rmb - *just not the one i need* which is basic movement. you cannot move your character with right click. in an ARPG. in 2024. good one guys!

If I can play LE and POE seasons around each other that's a huge win. D4 is pretty much out of the picture in it's current state.

Yup. Playing LE until PoE 2 (these poe leagues are just PoE 2 filler) and once PoE 2 is out I’ll be swapping between LE and PoE 2 league/cycles.

Out of the 5 things, 2 were preferences and 2 were actual feedback and the map thing was neither really.

Last epoch having 0 char customization is kind of a massive L for alot of people. Alienating probably like 30% of potential players

Too many items drop is my opinion, Especially at early level...
Gives a Diablo 4 screen of yellow items feel.
Make it more like D2 drop rates.
1) They're reducing drop rates for 1.0.
2) Loot filter.
