This will fly in due course, just a shake up - the whole market's having problems! Top up now, or hold on tight - this is one for the long investor - I invested BIG in Rolls Royce when they were down at 65p, held on tight, topped up along the way, now look at the price - it went up down, up down, down, down, up etc. Lisa is an excellent CEO, and when you invest in AMD, you're investing in her and a company that's growing and evolving with great prospects.................

I'm not sure what to think when Y/Y is up but the Q/Q is down. I would assume that more emphasis should put on the Y/Y as it paints the bigger picture. However, the devil could be in the details regarding the Q/Q and therefor needs a closer analysis. Is that correct?
Q4 is usually a strong Q.
Sounds like a fair shake. I dint know where the chips will fall with AMD. Im going to add a little bit and hope.
Don't play it like a casino! Hold your shares for now and look for more solid companies wihtout such a premium for the long-term.

It's not a crash, just some noise.
AMD is down -6.3%, but the Nasdaq is also down 2.5%, and with a Beta of 2, a 6% drop is normal. The good news is the 80% growth in data center revenues, confirming that artificial intelligence continues to drive demand for AMD GPUs. Nvidia only saw a decline of -2.3%, which is also good news, since the decline is less than the Nasdaq. Nvidia beta is 1.74.
The real question: what caused the Nasdaq and S&P 500 to fall? Supermicro or the Fed ? Amazon announced very good figures. The stock had fallen by -3.29% during the session, only to rise by +2.27% after the announcement of quarterly results which also confirmed growing demand for AI.

There is only reason in my mind. I think a lot of retail traders were betting on the long side, so the Wall Street big players took it to the opposite side. And, I think that the retail investors are likely to be cautious after seeing AMD and AMZN. If so, then I think they will probably raise the price of AAPL very high after their ER. But, if the retail traders are still optimistic about AAPL, then I think they will probably crash AAPL. So, I will be paying attention to the sentiment going into the AAPL ER.

I think AMD is well-positioned for significant growth, especially considering the upcoming release of its Zen 5 "Strix" CPUs. Ryzen chips are outperforming Intel's offerings and there is strong OEM interest in Strix (according to mooreslawisdead). Essentially, I think this means it will deliver a substantial performance improvement (could extend AMD's lead further). Also with AM5 there is an easy upgrade path for AMD users.
The question is, why aren't we seeing the positive effects yet? Where are all the profits?
@@CouchInvestor One theory could be that this is kind off a correction for the AI hype / people trying to find the "new nvidia" - while nvidia will probably stay market leader for a long while. Whilst undervalueing the potential of AMD in short term in their CPU market.
to justify their market cap right now, they need to have a huge increase in AI market share right now it is close to none. People just bought AMD way too soon base solely on speculative.
And profits are also not incredible
Intel prices are just insane on their Intel chips prices its no wonder why Intel prices stock has fallen they just go to damn greedy!

Most unpredictable stock ever seen. They CEO has no clue to develop the company in which direction. insider knows very well when to buy and when to sell. I always stay away. It is a huge bubble. I don’t play gambling.
You are correct. lisa su is overrated and overpaid in a big way, but the amd fanboys will always disagree. Most amd fanboys are just traders anyway. They love amd taking dumps over and over again. I hate I ever heard about amd. CEO is very good at pumping her dead horse. HA!!
