Breathtaking, colors are stunning .The paint resembles 1968 Sequoia green that was on my Caprice . This is a DREAM CAR and its prettier than the original. Sincerely Mrs. McCarthy
I saw the original prototype, the J.T. Keller custom 1955 Imperial Convertible. Quite frankly, Mike Rutter has created a car that is more beautiful and even more elegant than the original prototype. A true masterpiece!
I am totally amazed at the beauty, the elegance, of this moveable class act. American class cars of the 50's blew away those euro clunkers, this is a totally beautiful creation.
The perfect color indeed - just resonates with the pumpkin leather color. To build a car to that standard is a giant feat of skill and workmanship. The 1955 was the most beautiful of the Imperial designs - this takes it a tad further.
Beautiful, such as good as it's going to get. Good taste in the color, especially from the inside. I love all of the chrome trimming and everything in between.
The record player was an option back then. And, yes, they worked well. I believe the interior color would be considered a true "saddle tan". And your right, that paint color is frigging gorgeous, especially with that interior. Very classy.
WOW, always a big fan of the '55 and '56 Chrysler 300's. That Imperial leaves me speechless. I really like that they kept all the trim on her. That must of cost a fortune, to find all the chrome and have it redone. And that interior, just suits the car. I know, I said I was speechless, but that car is stunning. First gen. hemi valve covers, on a third gen. hemi. Very thought out build, and now I will shut up. Love this car.
There is more craftsmanship in this car than can be captured on video. WOW! That engine does a great job of imitating a 354 Hemi. Lucifer (on TV)may drive a Black 62 Vette, but, God would drive this Chrysler.
Wow I'm drooling over this car. Sweetest car around. I'm building a 55 Chrysler 2- dr hard top station wagon with a 1958 392 ci hemi , 6 sp automatic trans. 4.0" Chopped top , 5.0" channeled body and 5.0" Z d frame almost finished roughing in the body 3 long years now. Still need to get the Motor built searching for a log manifold 6 carb set up. Some day all it takes is money and time.
It was built for a client...Other than that...All I know is in the video..facebook.com/Rutterz-Rodz-110001032398056/ Mikes a great Guy ask Him anything you would like to know...
The engine trips me out man , LOL. I see what they did and it's clever as heck for sure !!! Not better mind you , but clever . The early FirePower engines have not been " bested " IMO. That color scheme on the valve covers does rock for sure.
That car is the bomb. I had an older cousin that had an Imperial push button trany convertible. Sweet car. Sorry don't remember the year. I could never figure out why the luxury Chrysler models are rarely if ever on the auction block. It is a shame.
It would be considered personal luxury coupe. could be built in low volume and sale at a premium price The same way Lamborghini, Porsche and Ferrari as a means to maintain the value of the model. I believe a good argument for business case could be made. Oh And yes it could sell.
I would rather drive a beauty like that everyday instead of something mass produced.Imagine: 60 degree weather, sunny, top down, fresh coffee, tunes on Aaaaahh!!
55 crown imperial had its own sheet metal unique to a 55 it also had an air conditioning unit in the trunk of footrest in the backseat and many more amenities not to mention that beautiful V8
This Imperial should be on display at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.

Precioso
I saw that same K T Keller custom Imperial at the Concours d'l'gance at greenwich ct
Agree, this is better looking than the KT Keller car (IMHO). Is it a 55 New Yorker convert firewall with a 55 Imperial front clip?
That is a great car. What a magnificent colour too. Amazing.
For sure...Thanks for checking it out!!

How is it possible that any Chevrolet, Ford or Mercury is more popular than this car or some Cadillacs? This car is JEWELRY!
Beautiful build for sure....
Wrong my friend, this is an acquired taste and had huge following back in the day!!!
Beautiful, such as good as it's going to get. Good taste in the color, especially from the inside. I love all of the chrome trimming and everything in between.

It was debut at 2016 SEMA....But it was built to drive.....I'm sure it won't spend many night outside....but it will see some road miles...

Glad you enjoyed it Brother....Very nice build for sure!!
Al Cyr at least $25,000 to do all that chrome over to that level
The car is fantastic, but they should have used a correct 331 HEMI, not a modern engine with computers. There is nothing lacking about that 331 HEMI.
There is more craftsmanship in this car than can be captured on video. WOW! That engine does a great job of imitating a 354 Hemi. Lucifer (on TV)may drive a Black 62 Vette, but, God would drive this Chrysler.
lol....I agree turned out nice...
OMG!" God Would Drive This Chrysler!" LOL You are so right!

I'm becoming a Chrysler man.....you can put this next to any Cadillac of that same era and you're gonna win on sleeper points alone.
