Variety is overrated. We repeatedly reach for what we love and what works for us. We find that and riff on those patterns that feel like home. We are safe from the allure of passing trends and the newest aesthetic. We do not settle for muddled versions of the new-core. We commit to what we love.
What a great idea to make a video like this! I can recognize your ideal silhouette immediately because of the repetition. I am currently purging my closet and i'm going to try things on and take pictures and I bet I'll be able to spot the failures right away. Brilliant!
Yesss the most stylish people we all recognise as having 'signature' styles (Anna Wintour's bob, Iris Apfel's glasses etc) but that really just means they've found what works for them and is now milking it! This doesn't mean you can't *ever* change things up as a nod to current trends, just like you showed with the ruffles & belt added or the different neckline/ pattern/ colour. You just need to know which parts of the silhouette are non negotiable for you (like I'm seeing a consistent 'hem length, straight cut, & covered shoulders' in this example). Don't compromise!

yesss its the constant foundation that makes the freedom of variety more enjoyable too :) and that's super astute, thanks for seeing me :)
This is so brilliant! I'm taking this on for my favorite silhouettes.
