Holy damage may be less effective late game, but the mana efficiency of Miquella's Ring of Light is so good that you can just spam the weapon art and typically outperform most incantations, even at the Haligtree or Farum Azula. Additionally MRoL pretty much single handedly carried me through my first fight with Placidusax, and the movement delay means NPCs and other input reading enemies flubb the dodge, making it effectively a much faster glintblade.
On my first playthrough I used a Faith build with the Halo Scythe until Mt Gelmir and then changed to the Blasphemous Blade after Rykard. The combination of the two makes playing the game very forgiving, because you can fight most bosses from range and still do solid damage in close combat while exploring. I'd recommend using the Halo Scythe with a Brass Shield without an Ash. This way you can shoot the halos without constantly changing to two handed. The halos are pure Holy damage, so the damage does not change between one and two handing. Also putting a good amount of points into endurance helps because then you can just spam the halos until your MP runs out. (The halos stagger, so being able to shoot many without interruption can make a difference) It also helps with the equip load so that you can wear good armor, the brass shield and a seal, making it even easier for you. At the endgame I was able to hold both the Blasphemous Blade and the Halo Scythe, so you even get the healing of the Blasphemous Blade on kills with the halos, which is great for increasing the exploration duration. (The Halo Scythe is pretty useless on bosses after the capital) That way you can just carry more FP potions, which makes exploration a bit nicer. I would stop using all scorpion charms and soreseals in the endgame, because of the increase in physical damage. In my experience it's easier if you put more points into faith to make more damage this way than having to put more points into vigor, because you take so much damage. (The Blasphemous Blade (Taker's Flame) also makes ridiculous amount of damage, so you don't really need the extra few percent.) Definitely not a build for someone who wants challenging fights, but it's a really great build if you enjoy the exploration in Souls games more than the combat. In my opinion it's also more fun than playing a mage, because you have the option to go into close combat to change things up. But more importantly you are no glass canon with this build.

I'm currently using an Occult Grave Scythe, with this infusion it has a scaling of E for STR/DEX and a B for Arcane which is why I'm using it. I have an ARC/FAI caster build with more Arcane than Faith just for the weapon's blood loss. I'm running 30 faith and 60 arcane which is almost the same as having 45/45 softcaps for the Dragon Communion Seal. With 60 Arcane, the Blood Loss buildup is 99 and it has an AR above 600.
@@gavina1395 I don't like using grease, that's why I ditched that same weapon, I upgraded to +25 and used it for quite some time but I feel like Reapers are better than Halberds for me.
@@MsModestyBlaise Sword Dance but I don't really like it for PvE, many enemies just tank it and hit you in return. Again, it's a caster build, this is a secondary weapon.
If you like the Angel's Wings ash of war but don't want to go faith, as he said it's basically Loretta's Slash, which can be applied to either the normal Scythe or the Grave Scythe. From there, enhance it with whatever scaling you want, and have fun!
I love both Loretta’s slash and the Wing’s AoW but sadly they are basically PvP AoW’s. Both of the AoW’s damage is kinda shit. Loretta’s slash is carried by the fact that there is a true combo with the charge attack on the Scythe with Loretta’s Slash and the healing negation on the Wings Scythe AoW
I've been using the scythe with my int/dex build and I actually like to keep it in one hand. I use spells on distant enemies and when they're close I two hand the scythe to finish them off. I've also got Loretta's slash ash of war on it which has been scaling nicely with the intelligence side of my build.
I'm gonna be honest. The Halo Scythe is one of my favorites. Its Ash of War works really well for my Elementalist build right now as it gives me a Ranged option for my Holy Element, but it also frees up a spell slot for a utility spell like Beastial Constitution. That and it prolly has my favorite Reaper design.
Winged Scythe is what I used for my first playthrough. You really feel that holy resist on the late game bosses. I was chipping away at Melania and Maliketh almost made me co sider respecing. I persisted though and even though Im using the blade of calling and black knife now Im still getting a lot of mileage out my faith build with a 2k heal from Edtree heal. Faith is really fun to co op with.
Halo scythe is one of my favourites, that AoW is excellent against bigger enemies and is super FP efficient, beating out a ton of the incantations. all round great for my FAI/DEX build (even if faith scaling isn't amazing)
I’ve been using the Cold Grace Scythe for a while now and it’s easily my go-to. Yes, it’s attacks are a bit slow, but the damage is worth it’s pace. The frost/bleed combo with this weapon is unrivaled in my opinion.
Winged reaper Carried me early game from the holy damage alone pair with the bleed, eventually I felt the endgame drag and focused on light spam for bleed and used the ash of war to escape combat. Eventually this just pushed me to focus on faith spells more which I ended up beating the last pause using godslayer magic
For anyone thinking Round-Table Vyke is too difficult: He doesn't know hos to react to the Winged Scythe weapon art and you can do the whole fight just spamming that weapon art. It also keeps him from healing so that's nice.
@@Kristalya probably yes, if the poise damage are the same he basically just comes at you, eats the double hit without being able to roll out of it or hit through it, then is stunned enough for you to walk back a little and do it again.
I wanna point out that in most cases, a weapon with pure physical damage that has slightly less attack rating than a weapon with split damage will deal more total damage overall. Because it will go through only one instance of defense/resistance unlike the one with split damage that will go through two types of defense/resistance . Not always true, especially if the enemy is weak to the elemental damage in the second weapon; but in most cases raw damage is better.
yeah it's better to have a physical damage weapon like a quality great scythe that can be enchanted by black flame and just have another weapon just in case you run into something massively resistant to physical damage.
1st playthrough I used a winged scythe incantation build and I loved it up until the last few bosses. In early pvp winged scythe was great because it could "jump over" the fire from sword of night and fire
I’m doing a dual wield Scythe/Winged Scythe with a focus on Lightning Incantations along with it. Buffing the Keen Scythe with Electrify Armament is a good way to get a solid coverage of damage types while still keeping physical high.
As an Int build, I've noticed Grave Scythe does more damage even though it's scaling is worse. I like using Bloodhound Step for the short teleport, kind of a nice flavor for a heavy armored mage. However, Spinning Weapon seems nice af too. Lots of hits. Basically 1 shots anything short of mini boss. Also I'm using Cold affinity rather than magic bc of the status effect. Both are Int scale, but Cold is lower, but again has the tradeoff of being able to apply frostbite in 1-3 hits. 50 blood loss and 127 cold seems decent in PVE. PVP probably not so much.
Great series ! Definitely my favorite videos to watch on Elden Ring right now. This must have taken alottttt of work and I want you to know it shows ! Thank you 🙏
I'm still shocked we don't have a dedicated frost scythe in the vein of Friede's. Sure, you could set Frost on one of the generic ones and stick it with Hoarfrost Stomp and pump Faith for the Black Flame incantations to approximate her move set. That would get you most of the way there, but it just isn't the same.
I am using Halo +10 I am in late game now so I am transitioning to the Grave. Halo has been my workhorse for a big stretch of my playthrough. I am using Phantom Slash on the Grave, a good AoW. I didn't know about the Cold Affinity so ty I will change to it. TY for this information! Appreciated!
I guess from the souls game I'm totally obsessed with the claymore! Today I farmed a grave scythe and upgraded it max with blood flame blade and oh boy I found a new favorite weapon!
I notice you didn't mention one aspect of Reapers that, assuming it's the same as in Dark Souls, is to my knowledge unique to scythes. That's "tipping". Which is to say, intentionally aiming to hit the foes with the blade of the scythe at the tip of your range does slightly more damage than hitting with the handle up close. Intentionally aiming for this does however make you vulnerable to backstep attacks and spacing. I remember testing this myself in DS3 and confirming that scythes do in fact do slightly more damage if you hit with only the blade.
I’d personally love for more scythes in game, my preferred scythe in game is the Grave Scythe. I adore and love it’s design mostly, i’m not a fan per se of it’s extra handle but that’s eh to me. I’ve always loved scythes growing up as i do love katana’s. I use a quality Grave Scythe with the black flame tornado ash of war
I was doing a faith/dex build because the only thin I loved more than the claws being dual wielded, was the dragon spells. Then I found a Scythe, and realized I have enough faith for the Winged Scythe too. I think the only thing more fun than dual claws would be Power Stancing Reapers.Had to check the internet, and found this video. Nice to see I'm not alone in thinking it would be cool.Just need one more level in strength, then I'm going for it!
I used all of these reapers with my faith based war-wizard and they were great. I used the winged scythe for a little more than half the game. My build had 67 faith and 36 strength and 35 dex (72 faith, 41 strength, 40 dex with Godrick's great rune active). My end game scythe was a grave scythe with black flame tornado ash with flame art affinity. It absolutely melted the elden beast and malenia.
Picked up the Winged Scythe early on, swapping to it as a one hander to use alongside offensive Incantations, which coincidentally can help mitigate the situational nature of the weapon skill of both it and the Halo Scythe. In particular, I've grown fond of the running heavy attack, as it sweeps really well with good reach and good continued momentum. Making it ideal for poking at enemies which attack relentlessly. The jumping Light attack is also pretty nice as a general use tool. Also of note, the Halo Scythe can be one handed with only 13 strength, which is low enough that if you want to use the Winged Scythe until you get to Caelid and then switch you can use Radagon's Scarseal (which is even found in a nearby evergaol) to make up the difference should you wish to avoid respeccing.
My first play through I picked one of the Grave Scythe up the first time I killed a skeleton wielding one, I was my main weapon all the way the end game, I added Int to my build and put cold on it and melted a lot of bosses up to having a small struggle with MBoM.
my first play-through was a grave scythe with chilling mist + fires deadly sin. my stats were all over the place for this build but the amount of frostbite procs was silly.
Reapers are so much fun to use. I feel powerful but like I work for it. Also they're crouch light attack is pretty useful catching ppl with the range it has. I love just casually building bleed and frost on my scythes
My Faith Mage used scythes. It was honestly a fun as heck playthrough. Challenging in the mid game and felt just strong enough at the end. I primarily dual weilded Winged Scythe and Flame Art Scythe (had a buddy drop it with Black Flame Tornado, highly recommend). I swap to two Flame art scythes for just the final boss. One of my favorite playthroughs honestly
Grave Scythe with either Holy or Flame Art affinity goes very hard on a faith build. Just get the minimum requirements and scale your damage entirely with faith up until you hit caps. Pairing this with flame or even black flame incantations works very well thematically.
Grave Scythe also increases your vitality. Also don't hold it while around the Beast Clergyman in Calid cause he will attack you since the scythe applies a very small amount of death blight build up whenever you switch to it
Actually what is happening there is it gives you resistance, and the way that mechanic works is the bar gets bigger, but doesn't instantly empty so you see it pop up and then tick down as if you got buildup, but really you just got more resist. Beast clergyman just attacks you after you give him a certain number of deathroot
Another minor note about reapers is that their mounted moveset is kinda OP. Unlike regular swings the mounted animations use the full length of the weapon in these giant one-handed sweeps which are also quite a bit faster than similar sized weapons for no adequate reason.
I really like these showcases. One thing I'd note is that on weapon classes where they all apply the same effect, maybe only mention it at the beginning. Listening to them all in a row, sometimes I have to double check that it's not unique to a specific weapon of the class (such as the damage mitigation, bleed, etc). Always enjoy your guides though!
My favorite thing about the Grave Scythe is that when set to keen and given the Spinning Slash ash of war it does a bunch of helicopter spins that are surprisingly good against enemies and bosses with lower poise. Against Malenia it staggers her easily and repeatedly. I’ve even knocked her out of water fowl a few times by just holding L2. It’s really funny.
I played and finished with a quality(war cry) grave scythe through the game. Since I was unsure how well it compared with other weapons I was curious and I thank you & your team for making this vid, but with the reach and speed of the moveset, it was comfortable for me.
I'd only reccomend the grave scythe with the spinning weapon AOW set it to quality, learn blood flame, use both talismans from Milicent's questline, shard of alexander, and if it bleeds use blood lord's ex or the one that cuts fp use. Spinning flame scythe of death cuts into enemies really well even late game ones.
Interesting that you say scythe/caster spellblade builds aren’t common - I’ve been having a great time using the Winged Scythe and an offhand seal on a Faith-based build with good Dex. Enemy close up, hit with scythe (with or without R2). Enemy far away, throw lightning/flame/blackflame. Enemy holy resistant or moves too fast for a big slow weapon, put the scythe away and pull out the Flame Art Nagakiba or Black Knife instead. Of course, I don’t PVP and I’m not trying to optimise so there’s a fair chance this is wildly unoptimised and overlevelled, but it’s fun and it works nicely in PVE! I haven’t gone past Leyndell with that build yet and it might need adjustment down the track… but buffing yourself then spamming the Winged Scythe R2 while occasionally throwing fire is a brilliant way to destroy Leyndell Knights!
I've never tried them but I might try to powerstance the grave sythe with suppuku and sword dance + bloodflame in a strength/arcane build. Ill lean into the ash of war and jump attacks.
Ever since the Great Scythe carried my through DS1 I have a love to Reapers in general. Did some play thorughs by now but never got into NG+ which is I'm planning to do with the Grave Scythe dual wielded.
I recently did a playthrough where I got lucky and the skeleton wielding one near summonwater dropped the grave scythe first time so I used the grave scythe for the entire game except for 2 fights where I used the rivers of blood and the serpent hunter and I used it using shields for almost the entire run occasionally using a staff to use magic glintblade had a fun time
First playthrough i mainly used the dual faith scythes. The crouching l1 is absolutely insane and my favourite move out of all the weapon types ive tried
I love reaper weapons, they have the range of a greatsword but slash and hit enemies quicker than one. And with enough faith and somber smithing stones they can be absolute beasts in combat. The halo scythe is my go-to weapon in elden, not only does it do great damage and stagger enemies up close, but allows me to pelt them with ring beams from a safe distance when I feel unsafe facing a super tough opponent head on.
@@zenebean Blackflame blade doesn't stack, so it's more important to have a weapon that allows you to easily get a hit in as opposed to hitting rapidly.
Considering the two unique scythes invest alot into faith, i dont see why you wouldnt wanna try pairing a seal with a scythe to cover more bases. Like maybe having incantations that dont do holy damage (rock sling, blackflame) to make up for your main weapon being mostly holy damage
This is how I did my second playthrough. I used the wing scythe with godslayers seal until I farmed halo scythe. Dual wielding winged and halo scythes is super meaty. Good damage, and multiple ash of war options with a quick swap to a seal for incantations
Halo Scythe is not only a super good looking reaper, it is one of the best when it comes to all around utility, purely because of its ash of war. "Miquella's Ring of Light" is the unique and superior variant to the "Sacred Ring of Light" which you can infuse to other weapons. Compared to the former, it deals 30% more damage (when compared with weapons with similar AR) and has 30% more range as well. I fell in love with this thing once it "clicked" on me that not only does the projectile have a large hitbox, a lot of range, AND tracking, it also deals PURE holy damage. You know what that means? It means it is a "certified" Deathrite Bird deleter. Slap on the Sacred-Scorpion talisman and the Holy-Shrouding Crystal on your Physick to shred those damned scrawny Death-meth-addicted-birds. :v
For my own reference: Unlike most of these videos I only really see one option I'm interested in, which is preferable since I have less to think about. 2x Grave Scythe with either Cold or Arcane infusion. There's not many other scythes so I can also level one or two up alongside for additional options. Really like how these weapons hit hard, apply bleed, have good range, all while not being a low-damage choice like whips or daggers. Quite interested in trying these out.
Going to use a single Grave Scythe with Bloodflame Blade, slap Wild Strikes or Stormcaller on it, use Royal Remains helm and Night Cavalry set for my Death build. High VIG/STR, medium END/FAITH and a little MIND.
I actually ran a seal and winged scythe for like 80 percent of my first play through. I started out as confessor so ran a mostly faith build with high stamina so I could spam quick attacks and take care of the length to compensate for the slow attack speed
I played the Game using the Grave-Scythe. I‘m using Reaper-Type Weapons, whenever they are present in Games. A cool Fact about the Reapers is, that their Damage Output is increased, when you hit with the Blade-Part of the Weapon. Reapers are exceptionally good at Rollcatching, because their Arc of the Swings are actually very wide. I often killed People in PvP when they were trying to roll besides me and the Bleed thy cause surely comes in handy. I don‘t mind that the Attacks are a little bit slower, then other Weapons. The Hitstun caused by them is enough to get even one or two more Hits at the Target, mostly finishing them right of, if they are not heavy Armored. Also I want to ask: Does the Grave-Scythe actually increase or decrease your protection from Death Statuseffects? Every time I swap Weapons the Bar does show up, but does disappear very quickly.
Funny as I am about to begin NG+2 with the Winged Scythe and a Seal. I used the Bestial Seal, and then the Giants Seal before getting the Erdtree Seal. Just 1 handing this and throwing incantations around. I just bust through much of the game. I can 2 hand but rarely need to. I Flippin love this weapon.
reapers have the closest place in my heart due to my first run being a faith dex winged scythe run with a godslayer seal and eventually mixing it also with pykes spear and frenzied flame spells. now im on another run again farming for the grave scythe to get a winters death build going
I used the Winged Scythe and the Godslayer Seal for my midgame (Finger Seal and Uchigatana for early game, now on Fundamentalist's Seal/Prince of Death's Staff and Sword of Night and Flame for my endgame). I loved the reach on it and miss it dearly, frankly--the Sword of Night and Flame is the only weapon that scales on my Int-Faith late-game build but I dislike everything else about it, even the weapon arts. Downsides of the Winged Scythe were its weapon art, which I basically never used--with my faith spellblade build in general I don't want to hit trade, having minimal defense; attempting to deal damage at range and finish things off or clear mobs with the weapon. In retrospect I liked the Winged Scythe a good bit, but while weapons that scale with regular Smithing Stones are frankly more of a hassle to scale, I wish I'd gone with the Grave Scythe, for the slightly better reach but also so that I could use the wide variety of Faith-scaling Ashes of War, which I am quite sure I could have found something better than Angel's Wings.
The Winged Scythe is Great for early Dex/Faith to hold you over until you a Aquire the Lategame Dex/Fth you actully went for. Maybe i replace it with Godslayer later on. Or the Magma Whip.
Great and very insightful video man. Time to give Scythes a go! The fact that there are only 4 Scythes in game is concerning. There is no unique flame or frost reapers, and I know it's a little traditional fantasy. But would really like to see Scythes with blade made of ice/crystal (stab the ground for Nito like attack) or style of Flame monks (even spining slash with added flame and small explosion at the end could be nice). Also... If there is unsheathe for katanas. Why there is no ash like L2 poke of Church Pick for Reapers? Why? It was such a great move in Bloodborne T_T
Just want to say that my first run of this game I did a double Holy Reaper build and used them one at a time with a seal in my off hand. However the more important part is that the Elden Beast heals from Holy damage, so if you want to beat the main story you will unfortunately have to find some other means beside your main build to kill the final boss. I had to throw 1737291837 black flame orbs to take it down. Just thought I’d share so someone doesn’t end in the same position I did :)
Reapers are just too cool to ignore. Using the Halo size because the ash of war is awesome and I love the aesthetic. Would love to see more in the DLC.
Reapers are one of my fav weapon classes easily. just decided to do an actual scythe character, and who better to base my character on than Friede herself

Thank you for the video! I love these! I’d like to see one on Axes. I don’t see many people playing with an axe and I want to learn more about them
I’ve been using the Cold Grace Scythe for a while now and it’s easily my go-to. Yes, it’s attacks are a bit slow, but the damage is worth it’s pace. The frost/bleed combo with this weapon is unrivaled in my opinion.
I did that on a str/int play through and it was a lot of fun. I also had spinning strikes on it so I could spin to win
@@saltydog7482 right on. ✊🏾
Love these videos! Waiting for the next one!!
For anyone thinking Round-Table Vyke is too difficult:
He doesn't know hos to react to the Winged Scythe weapon art and you can do the whole fight just spamming that weapon art. It also keeps him from healing so that's nice.
Is it also true for Loretta's Slash? Literally Angel's Wings, but magic damage with no healing prevention. 🔮
Sword of night and flame is shitty in pvp
I LOVE reapers. Thank you for the great vid.
Great series ! Definitely my favorite videos to watch on Elden Ring right now. This must have taken alottttt of work and I want you to know it shows ! Thank you 🙏
Great! I was waiting for this one! Thanks for these quality videos
Do we even have a boss weapon from Ds3 in Elden Ring? 🤔 Oh wait, the moonlight greatsword! And I don't remember any other 😂
@@BorrasitoTakaTaka moonlight greatsword is in every single fromsoft souls like game, that’s just a given
I am using Halo +10
I am in late game now so I am transitioning to the Grave.
Grave scythe is definitely my favorite. I buff with bloodflame blade and flame grant me strength or golden vow and then go to town. Love it
Love using the scythes, hopefully we get a good DLC one
A other good vidoe dude keep you rock
I notice you didn't mention one aspect of Reapers that, assuming it's the same as in Dark Souls, is to my knowledge unique to scythes. That's "tipping". Which is to say, intentionally aiming to hit the foes with the blade of the scythe at the tip of your range does slightly more damage than hitting with the handle up close. Intentionally aiming for this does however make you vulnerable to backstep attacks and spacing. I remember testing this myself in DS3 and confirming that scythes do in fact do slightly more damage if you hit with only the blade.
I frequently use a shield and reaper, with incantations. It may not be perfect but it's fun
Best informational elden ring video I’ve seen. Thanks so much!
That sounds like a really good build! Do you use anything in your off hand? Idk what to pair with a scyth
I kinda figured those enemys would drop a scythe. Didn't get one to drop yet but now I will keep trying with renewed confidence. Thank you.
Nice to see I'm not alone in thinking it would be cool.Just need one more level in strength, then I'm going for it!
wish developers showed some love to greataxes and scythes in future
Nice! I’m looking forward to rapiers the most I think, then staves or whatever you want to call the “magic sticks” lol. Great job!
Or you could use the default moveset and get good
Well, I gotta try bloodflame spinning weapon on something!
@@rudalph529 or you can play the game however the fuck you want because it's a game you bought and own. Annoying ass gate Keeper gtfo my replies
I beat the game running Winged Scythe (up close, lots of bosses) and Halo Scythe (range, dodgy enemies). So much utility and tons of fun
thank you for making this! im trying to plan out how to set up a “Gherman” build for ER so thhis was really helpdul :)
Can't do it. Theres no way to apply a buff to your left hand without losing bloodflame on the right hand
@@buckyhurdle4776 Can’t you just apply the seppuku first then the blood flame?
@@MichaelH155 two handing left weapon to apply seppuku deletes bloodflame on right hand, bloodflame can't be cast onto a left hand weapon
@@buckyhurdle4776 you can at least apply blood grease.
@@sebastianestrada3697 Yes greases you can do it, spells/incantation buffs you cannot
Ever since the Great Scythe carried my through DS1 I have a love to Reapers in general. Did some play thorughs by now but never got into NG+ which is I'm planning to do with the Grave Scythe dual wielded.
My first playthrough was with the Winged Scythe Faith / Dex build. Sprinkle in a little black flame and you've got a recipe for fun on tha' bun!
I recently did a playthrough where I got lucky and the skeleton wielding one near summonwater dropped the grave scythe first time so I used the grave scythe for the entire game except for 2 fights where I used the rivers of blood and the serpent hunter and I used it using shields for almost the entire run occasionally using a staff to use magic glintblade had a fun time
Don’t give up, skeleton
First playthrough i mainly used the dual faith scythes. The crouching l1 is absolutely insane and my favourite move out of all the weapon types ive tried
I wished there were more than 4 reapers in the game. Need more variety(including smaller hand scythes)!
Quick tip for the regular scythe, it’s charged r2 true combos into Loretta’s slash
The winged scythe is a beast
I would actually argue on scythes being being a good spellblade, especially with incantations
Those rapid slashing ashes of war could be good with bloodflame or blackflame blade, and just fun for cosplay
My mid-game Confessor is running Winged Scythe + Godslayer seal for Blackflame, the faith scaling works well with both
I LOVED my reaper/faith playthrough. Though I never got a halo scythe, still. After farming quite a bit. I’d love to play again with it.
Badass content Fextra! As always

For my own reference:
Unlike most of these videos I only really see one option I'm interested in, which is preferable since I have less to think about. 2x Grave Scythe with either Cold or Arcane infusion. There's not many other scythes so I can also level one or two up alongside for additional options.
Really like how these weapons hit hard, apply bleed, have good range, all while not being a low-damage choice like whips or daggers. Quite interested in trying these out.
the running dual wield L1 is fantastic in PVE, you can often hit two or three enemies at once if you have some poise
Great vid.😺
Going to use a single Grave Scythe with Bloodflame Blade, slap Wild Strikes or Stormcaller on it, use Royal Remains helm and Night Cavalry set for my Death build.
High VIG/STR, medium END/FAITH and a little MIND.
Grave scythe also boosts your death blight resistance. XD very helpful in a few situations.
Also I want to ask:
Does the Grave-Scythe actually increase or decrease your protection from Death Statuseffects?
Every time I swap Weapons the Bar does show up, but does disappear very quickly.
Funny as I am about to begin NG+2 with the Winged Scythe and a Seal. I used the Bestial Seal, and then the Giants Seal before getting the Erdtree Seal. Just 1 handing this and throwing incantations around. I just bust through much of the game. I can 2 hand but rarely need to. I Flippin love this weapon.
Just a small tidbit here, you forgot to mention the grave scythe also gives you additional resistance to death blight
reapers have the closest place in my heart due to my first run being a faith dex winged scythe run with a godslayer seal and eventually mixing it also with pykes spear and frenzied flame spells.
now im on another run again farming for the grave scythe to get a winters death build going
I sported the Winged Scythe and a shield for a while on my first play-though and it was very effective.
And lets be honest here. The rule of cool is most definitely in effect with these weapons.
And here I sit with my block counter and incarnations reaper build :D not even 1 min into the video and already got the feeling I failed my build xD
Reapers are just too cool to ignore. Using the Halo size because the ash of war is awesome and I love the aesthetic. Would love to see more in the DLC.
Plannig on a Dex/Faith run
Will start with the Winged Scythe. End goal is to Dualweild the Somber-whips.
Reapers are one of my fav weapon classes easily. just decided to do an actual scythe character, and who better to base my character on than Friede herself
its really cool that they added this type of weapons for the scythe fans out there, for my favorite i think i stick with winged.
Halo and Grave are my favorite ones. Halo ash of war spam is kinda fun ngl
Please do one for straight swords
