I’ve never done a homestay. Looks like a very unique, real immersive experience. Will have to give it a try within the next year or so. Excellent video!
You should! It’s great for many types of travelers. In Nepal these communities that are part of the program go through training through the Community Homestay program so they can offer comfortable hospitality. In other places Id research and check for any reviews by other travelers.
Wow that’s an amazing experience, my favorite part of the video was the cooking by candlelight. We take so many things for granted in our everyday life like just having electricity and lights.
So true and moments like that reset our perspective and privileged realities we live in. And yet it begs the question how privileged are we to lose simplicity. 🧡✨
Took me a while to get here in Phuket and get settled in so I could watch this video. Weather issues had me delayed and turned a one and a half day trip into an extra 24 hours. Loved the video, what a place to relax! I'm looking forward to part 2. The mountain in the last frame reminds me of a howling wolf looking toward the sky! Take care...❤
This place in Nepal reminds me of a coastal town in Mangalore, India name Farangepet were I stayed for couple of days at a Catholic seminary house and this town rains a lot which added that beautiful nature for rains and the cold winds for couple of days and beside that same seminary was a river which is connected far away to a small island which belonged to the same seminary which grows vegetables which is meant as food source for the seminary house. Hopefully, when I get a chance to visit Nepal, I must visit this district and visit the locals and stay there to experience the lovely nature, rains and ofmcourse then wonderful delicious food. I love this video, great detailed, and a big thumbs up👍.
@grrrltraveler name of the seminary house is St Fidelis Friary, which house priest and newly ordained priest from the same seminary order. The reason I stayed there for a few days before heading to Mangalore was because one of my family relatives is a Father who stayed there for a few months and then moved to another seminary for conducting classes. I don't know now if this seminary is opened to the public, but it would be nice to visit old historical religious houses and seminary, which gives an indepth history of the place.
I really enjoyed the unique insights and cultural experiences you shared in your Nepal homestay video. Your journey brings out the essence of local life and traditions in a beautifully authentic way!

Yeah, he is a very intelligent human, Nabaraj Mainali ❤
He’s super intelligent. Omg He’s like an encyclopedia of knowledge. If you’re ever in Nepal , try to hire him if he’s free.
