Great! Can‘t wait to ride it! Is there a change in the board construction compared to the previous model? It still reads „Carbon hybrid technology“ but looks different when comparing the illustrations on the website, e.g. when looking at the carbon stringer.
Hey Frank, we have evolved the Hybrid Carbon construction and kept the strength but reduced the weight by 250-350 gsm per board compared to last years boards. You are right the construction changed a bit to make that possible. We added a thin layer of impact resistant high density PVC core at the deck of the boards that also contributes to the global shiftiness of the board. Changing the from dual PVC stringer to four full carbon T-stringers reduces the weight even further while increasing longevity. New shapes work very well. The SWELL is now more dedicated to wing foiling in surf with a large range of sizes, that fits in the pocket and carves like a dream. The SEEK is longer and narrower for early takeoffs, effortless gybes, tacks and touchdown recovery. Get in touch with your local North dealer and get your hands on one to test it for yourself.
Hi@@Uli_Sommerlatt thanks for your comprehensive answer. That clarifies a lot for me. I would suggest to add the info about the revised Hybrid Carbon construction incl. related weight reduction and gained stiffness to the Seek product Page, as this a definite improvement compared to the previous model. Looking forward of the delivery of my 5´1 Seek. Besten Dank und Gruß, Frank Bingel (Wing Life Podcast)
